'It's so far!' Katy Perry reveals she hates driving to boyfriend Orlando Bloom's beach pad

Los Angeles traffic is some of the worst in the world and so can prove to be a big test in any relationship.

Katy Perry has revealed while she may love most things about Orlando Bloom, she hates his house - or the drive to it at least.

The 31-year-old confessed to Women's Wear Daily that facing LA's notorious traffic to see her beau is a challenge.

He's a beach boy: Katy Perry has revealed while she may love most things about Orlando Bloom (pictured in Malibu in July) she hates driving to his Malibu home saying 'getting used to that [drive] was, like, ''Are you kidding me? What kind of life is this?'''

The star said: 'My boyfriend lives in Malibu and getting used to that [drive] was, like, ''Are you kidding me? What kind of life is this?''

'There's no pop-over and I never really got used to Malibu 'cause it's halfway to [my hometown of] Santa Barbara, so I'm always just going to Santa Barbara then. I get the whole coming to LA and living by the beach thing.

'There's no pop over': Reportedly however, she does not have to deal with the commute too often as Katy (pictured June) is all but moved into Orlando's home

'But it's really… it's so far, nobody [who lives in town] is going to come see you.'

However, according to Hollywood Life, she does not have to deal with the commute too often as Katy is all but moved into Orlando's home.

A source told the site: 'Katy is pretty much living with Orlando at his place in Malibu. She's got her own closet and even her own bathroom.

'The only thing missing are her cats, she can't bring them because Orlando has dogs and they don't get along. She still has her place in Hollywood, but she's hardly ever there.'

Katy grew up in a beach town, namely Santa Barbara, which is known for its mansions and wineries.

However, Katy also told WWD that she actually grew up very poor - something she had to prove to Orlando.

'People associate it with the French Riviera, almost Monte Carlo, like beautiful American rich people, and we were like super poor.

'Actually my boyfriend didn't even believe me and I was, like, ''I'm going to drive you by my house'' and you can Google Earth it. I basically had a crazy church-filled, God squad upbringing.

'I lived on food stamps and a food bank in Santa Barbara, which is like a crazy juxtaposition to live in beauty and still have a bit of a struggle, but that's just because of the nature of the church.'
