Sheer, sequins and straps! Ariel Winter, Julianne Hough and Vanessa Hudgens find very different ways to show some skin on the red carpet

These three ladies all march to the beat of their own fashion drum.

Ariel Winter, Julianne Hough and Vanessa Hudgens showed three different ways to flash some flesh on Thursday night.

The actresses all dared to bare but on opposite ends of the style spectrum as the Television Academy's event to celebrate the Emmy nominees for outstanding casting in Beverly Hills.

Stepping out at the Montage Hotel first in a cleavage-highlighting look was Ariel, who went the tried and tested sexy style route of a skintight bandage dress.

While the tight strapless frock already shown a spotlight on the Modern Family star's curves, the dress also showed off plenty of cleavage thanks to a plunging neckline with lacing.

Allowing her physique to be the focus, the 18-year-old skipped accessorizing the look with lots of jewellery, wearing it just with some semi-sheer pumps.

The television star also kept her hair and makeup low key with her dark locks swept up into a simple half up, half down 'do.

Julianne also went for a less is more approach with her hairstyle, with her blonde tresses pulled back into a slightly messy bun with a centre part. 

The 28-year-old's dress was such a big statement that it was pertinent the rest of her look was stripped back.

For the event, the former professional dancer stepped out in a sheer black lace dress which, while long sleeved with a below-the-knee hemline, was far from conservative.

The dress was so see-through that the star's underwear was completely visible and if it was not for some well-placed embroidered flowers, her breasts would have been exposed also.

Pal Vanessa was decidedly more covered up than the other two but still showed hint of skin in her envelope pushing look.

The High School Musical star wore a black sequinned suit with sparkly tuxedo pants and a matching jacket which was fastened at the top of her collar, revealing glimpses of her toned tum.

While the ensemble is not your average red carpet look, the 27-year-old star wore it with some on-trend accessories, namely a choker and a pair of strappy heeled sandals.

Vanessa and Julianne caught up on the carpet and made sure to pose together.

The actresses will no doubt see each other again next week at the annual Prime Time Emmy Awards.
