Weight loss company fires back following reports Kylie Jenner 'consulted lawyers' over 'lookalike' billboard model

The weight loss company behind a billboard using a 'lookalike' model of Kylie Jenner have fired back over claims the reality star had 'consulted her lawyers' over the image.

According to TMZ, Doctor FatOff has written a letter to Kylie's lawyer explaining that the model - Cassandra Groscost - used on their billboard is actually the daughter of one of the company's managers.

'Contrary to suggestions in the media, the companies did not seek out Cassandra based on any similarity in appearance to Ms Jenner,' the letter reads.

'Cassandra is a beautiful young lady and neither the companies nor Cassandra intended in any way to cause confusion or any comparison or similarity with Ms Jenner.'

Last week, TMZ suggested the reality star reportedly believes the advertising campaign for a weight loss procedure that promises to ‘freeze your fat’ is wilfully deceiving potential clients into thinking she endorses the company behind it.

But the letter disputes this, going on to say that the model has 'primarily Latina and Indian roots'  and 'does not appear to share ancestry traits with Ms Jenner.'

It continues: 'As you have seen from the advertising, there is no attribution nor any visuals or words that in any way tend to confuse the public or take advantage of Ms Jenner's fame or success.

The promotional billboard - posted across Los Angeles last weekend, showed Cassandra clad in lingerie  alongside the web address and telephone number for local company DoctorFatOff.com.

TMZ reported that Kylie was particularly aggrieved with the model, whose high cheekbones, sculpted eyebrows and fuller lips draw strong similarities with the 19-year old.

The Kardashian-Jenner family members have since alerted their legal team in a bid to end the new campaign.

However, Kylie's appearance on Tuesday night was a far cry from the model on the billboard in question.

The teen sported platinum blonde hair set off my her scarlet red sleeveless top and leather red skirt as she attended Kanye West's concert at Madison Square Garden.
