Kim Murray stuns in a thigh-skimming patterned skirt and boxy blouse as she watches husband Andy take on Kei Nishikori at US Open

  • He is now taking on Kei Nishikori to advance to the semi-finals

She battled the rainy weather by huddling under a pashmina to watch her husband Andy Murray beat Bulgaria's Grigor Dimitrov to advance to the quarter finals in the US Open.

But on Wednesday, the sun was shining as Kim Murray made her way to her seat to watch the tennis pro take on Kei Nishikori on day nine of the sporting event in Queens, New York.

The mother-of-one, 28, donned a stylish patterned Dolce & Gabbana skirt which exhibited her toned legs as she made her way down the stairs.

Keeping a loose, yet structured feel, she teamed the statement skirt with a boxy white blouse which boasted a stylish collar and short sleeves. 

Her chestnut locks which were tied up in to a high bun only seemed to accentuate her striking barely there make-up look.

The beauty opted for maximum comfort in strappy brown, open-toe sandals and accessorized to perfection with a large grey handbag.

And her main focus was of course her talented beau Andy, who destroyed Grigor Dimitrov 6-1, 6-2, 6-2 in the fourth round on Monday night and has been in supreme form at Flushing Meadows this year.

He now faces No 6 seed Kei Nishikori, who toppled Croatian giant Ivo Karlovic in straight sets.

If Andy wins this match, he will make it to his fourth executive Grand Slam semi-final appearance and will face Stan Wawrinka and Juan Martin Del Potro on Friday.

A notable detail was the power of Murray’s serve, which saw him hit his fastest ever at 141 mph as he delivered nine aces.

'I played extremely well and tactically I played a good match,' said the 29-year-old Scot. 'I served well, got a lot of free points. It’s definitely up there with my best matches of the year, I made it tough for Grigor.

'I served 145 at San Jose once but they recalibrated the gun the next day because it was wrong. I’ve never served over 140 before.

'I enjoy it on the Arhtur Ashe stadium, it’s a bit different this year with the roof and there was a bit of wind tonight for the first time.

'Against Kei it will be a tough match before. He has won this title but I played a really good match against him at the Olympics and I will have to do the same again.'
