Lily-Rose Depp displays her funky flair for fashion in bright yellow sequin dress as she heads to Planetarium photocall at Venice Film Festival

She is the daughter of Golden-Globe winning actor Johnny Depp.

So it is no wonder Lily-Rose Depp is following in her mother and father's acting footsteps, arriving at the photocall for her new film Planetarium at 73rd Venice Film Festival on Friday.

The actress and model, 17, embraced the warm Italian weather in a bright yellow sequinned dress, as she left her hotel for the prestigious event at the Venice Lido.

The rising star looked incredibly glamorous in a glitzy sequinned dress of canary yellow hue.

The shift dress fell to just above her knee, displaying her slim, leggy frame and featured a plunging V neckline to showcase her delicate décolletage.

Entirely covered with shimmering sequins, the short-sleeved number was also chicly decorated with white beaded fringing at the neckline and hem.

The blonde completed her look with some unique black court shoes, which featured a funky spiralled stiletto heel.

Scraping her hair back into a messy bun, Lily showed off her naturally pretty and youthful features, which scored her a modelling job with elite designer Chanel.

Laughing and smiling with her company, the daughter of Johnny Depp and French model Vanessa Paradis looked more than ready for her busy day of promotion.

The Venice Film Festival saw the premiere of Lily's new film Planetarium outside of competition. 

Starring alongside Oscar-winner Natalie Portman, the film follows two sisters who tour 1930s France as mediums. 

Despite attracting attention in the fashion world, Lily Rose appears to be carving out a successful path as an actress, with the project marking her fourth major movie in two years. 

The Chanel muse released French musical drama The Dancer at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival in May.

She also starred Kevin Smith's comedy-horror films Tusk and Yoga Hosers, alongside her acting father.

Meanwhile, her famous father Johnny is will reportedly be playing the late detective Russell Poole in a thriller about the unsolved murders of Tupac Shakur and The Notorious B.I.G..

According to Screen Daily, Good Films producer Miriam Segal will introduce her adaptation of Randall Sullivan's 2003 book Labyrinth to buyers at this week's Toronto Film Festival.

The who-done-it flick is the 53-year-old Oscar nominee's first casting since his abuse allegations and divorce from Amber Heard.
