Sneak peek: Is Hermione's jealously behind her violent outburst at Harry Potter?

Hermione Norris has been used to having the full undivided attention of her male friends Harry Potter and Ron Weasley.

So when the feisty schoolgirl finds out both her pals have developed love interests at Hogwarts, she is far from happy.

In the latest trailer for the forthcoming Hollywood adaptation of J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince, Hermione (Emma Watson) hits Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) around the head when she thinks he's getting too big for his boots.

Distracted: Harry Potter is whacked on the head after a brunette catches his eye

An annoyed Hermione blasts Harry when she realises he is checking out an alluring brunette in the library instead of listening to her.

She moans: 'She's only interested in you because she thinks you're the chosen one.'

After a cocky Harry replies: 'But I am the chosen one,' Hermione cuts him down to side by whacking him around the head.

In the upcoming film, the simmering romantic tension between Hermione (Emma Watson) and Ron (Rupert Grint) finally comes to a head.

Tender moment: Harry leans in for a kiss with Ron's sister Ginny (Bonnie Wright)

Hermione realises her feelings for Ron when she sees him - under the influence of a love potion - falling for Lavender Brown and sharing a kiss.

In between trying to save Hogwarts from dark forces, Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) finds time to finally make a move with Ron's sister Ginny (Bonnie Wright).

His latest love interest follows a previous screen kiss with Cho Chang (Katie Leung) in Harry Potter And the Order Of The Phoenix last year.

When asked if Harry will lock lips with Ginny, director David Yates said: 'They're about to kiss. Then the bloody Death Eaters turn up and cause all sorts of anarchy.'

Fighting dark forces: Harry and Professor Dumbledore (Michael Gambon) set off on a dangerous mission from Hogswarts

In Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince, the boy wizard is steadily evolving into a 'man wizard' as he expands his powers with the assistance of a mysterious book, entitled 'Property Of The Half-Blood Prince'.

The focus of the latest film is the dark evolution of Harry's blond rival Draco Malfoy (Tom Felton).

In the movie, Harry is 16 and is deeply suspicious of Draco and teams up with Dumbledore to keep Hogwarts protected from evil.

The film was originally scheduled for release last weekend, but has been delayed until next July 2009, to the frustration of impatient Potter fans.
