Batman vs. Deathstroke! Joe Manganiello set to take on Ben Affleck as the notorious DC villain in upcoming reboot
Another A-lister has joined the Batman reboot.
It has been revealed that Joe Manganiello will take on the role as the infamous DC villain, Deathstroke in the Ben Affleck directed movie.
Geoff Johns, DC Entertainment president and chief creative officer, confirmed the news in an interview with The Wall Street Journal on Thursday.

The Magic Mike actor is getting ready to take on Affleck in the upcoming solo Batman film.
Affleck, who is directing and starring in the film, took to Twitter last week with a teasing video for his 2.51m followers.
The 44-year-old actor posted a 27 second cryptic video of someone on set dressed as the the legendary DC Comics assassin, Deathstroke.

There was no sound in the video and he didn't accompany the post with a caption at the time.

In the comics, Deathstroke was introduced 1980 in New Teen Titans No. 2.
The character, whose real name is Slade Wilson, is an expert assassin who possesses a very particular set of skills.
He has super strength and stamina, an enhanced mind, regenerative healing powers, immortality and he's also a skilled martial artist.
His reflexes are instantaneous, he is able to run and move at speeds of up to 111-115 mph and his senses have been highly augmented as well.
The character has already appeared on TV on CW's Arrow, played by Manu Bennett.
This isn't the first time Manganiello has been a favourite in the DC universe.
According to THR, Zack Snyder thought about casting the 39-year-old as Superman, until they decided on Henry Cavill for the sought after role.

Not only that but the One Tree Hill alum was also in talks to play the Dark Knight before Affleck scooped up the role.
Manganiello seems pretty familiar in the superhero universe as he also played Flash Thompson in the 2002 Spiderman, opposite Tobey Maguire, Willem Dafoe, Kirsten DunstMary, James Franco and J.K. Simmons.
J.K. Simmons is also rumoured to star in the currently untitled Batman reboot as Commissioner Gordon.
