Her manager, Phil McIntyre, added: 'How many 24-year-olds own their own treatment centre?
'But then to leverage her position in pop music to do so much good is just incredible.'
While in rehab, the 24-year-old star admits she was a 'nightmare'.
The Confident hitmaker has bought into the CAST Center in Los Angeles - who she sought help for depression, bulimia and substance abuse - and admits it feels 'good' to have the means to help others in her position
After CAST CEO Mike Bayer - who has been accompanying Demi on her summer tour - recalled how she was 'very closed off' when they first met, sleeping a lot and expressing herself with one word answers, Demi admitted in an upcoming interview on Sunday Morning: 'Yeah, I was a nightmare. I would say ... the word that I want to say, but it's so inappropriate that I can't. And this will be on a Sunday morning, so I'm not going to say it!'
But Demi eventually responded to the facility and has learned how to function without 'some sort of drug or with alcohol' and things are better than ever for her now.
She reflected: 'Because of that. I'm now sitting here right now alive and more successful than I've ever been.'
The Skyscraper singer - who recently split from boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama - is determined to use her fame to help others.
She said: 'It sounds ridiculous but, like, I kind of made a pact with God.
'And I don't even think you're supposed to do that, but I was, like, I promised, 'If you make me a singer one day, I'm going to use my voice for so much more than singing, and I'm going to help people with it.' '
Demi's interview will air on CBS on September 11.
