No way bro! Matthew Dellavedova's attempted shot blocked by countryman Andew Bogut - as his Golden State Warriors thrash the Cleveland Cavaliers by 33 points

  • Golden State and Andrew Bogut win Game Two of the NBA Finals against Matthew Dellavedova and Clevelend
  • Bogut played a crucial role for the Warriors defensively, collecting five blocks and slowing down the Cavaliers
  • Dellavedova struggled for Cleveland in the 110-77 loss, scoring just seven points and making just two shots
  • Bogut and the Warriors lead Dellavedova and the Cavaliers 2-0 in the best of seven NBA Finals series

The Golden State Warriors and Australian big man Andrew Bogut crushed the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game Two of the NBA Finals in Oakland.

Bogut played an important role for the Warriors, with the Australian centre's defensive play helping the defending champions control the Cavaliers - who fellow Australian Matthew Dellavedova plays for.

The 31-year-old from Melbourne scored just two points in Golden State's crushing 110-77 win, but his five blocks - including one on superstar LeBron James - were important for the Warriors early in the contest.

Bogut celebrated on-court when he thought he set a new career high with his sixth block, however officials would later review the play and rule it did not count towards the towering Australian's tally.

Speaking after the game, he said he hoped he would get the statistic back so his individual record would stand.

'They took one away from me,' Bogut said.

'I'll try and get it back.'

Bogut had four of his blocks and an alley-oop dunk in the first seven minutes of the game to set the defensive tone, while the Cavaliers' LeBron James had a tough night with 19 points on 7-17 shooting.

Golden State now leads the best of seven series 2-0, with the next two games to be played in Cleveland on Thursday and Saturday.

'We know the job isn't done,' Bogut said.

'It's a seven game series for a reason.'

But as impressive as Bogut was early for Golden State, his compatriot Dellavedova struggled throughout the game for Cleveland.

Dellavedova, who rose to NBA fame after his performance against the Warriors in last season's NBA Finals, scored just seven points and made just two of his nine shots.

The 25-year-old from Maryborough in regional Victoria has been the subject of controversy in the finals, after he struck Golden State's Andre Iguodala in the groin during the opening game of the series.

Cleveland coach Tyronn Lue was forced to defend Dellavedova - who earlier this year was voted to be the NBA's 'dirtiest player' in an anonymous poll of other players and coaches.

'Some other guys have been doing way worse things than Delly has,' Lue told reporters on Saturday before the Cavaliers' shootaround at the Oracle Arena in Oakland.

'I just see a guy who plays hard, who's tough, hard-nosed, and that's the way the game should be played.'
