We knew she was trouble...! Internet users go into a total frenzy over bizarre conspiracy theory that Taylor Swift is actually a former SATANIC leader

  • Internet commenters have latched onto a theory that links the 26-year-old pop singer to a former High Priestess of the Church of Satan
  • Zeena Schreck, formerly Zeena LaVey, is the daughter of the Church's founders and served as its spokesperson from 1985-1990
  • People have noticed that Taylor bares an uncanny resemblance to Zeena and speculated they might be the same person
  • Others have guessed that Taylor is Zeena's secret daughter or clone

As it turns out, it's not just the exes who end up in Taylor Swift's songs that think the singer's the devil.

A conspiracy theory gaining traction — and laughs — on the internet speculates that the 26-year-old Grammy winner is actually a former Satanic leader that led a hellish church in the '80s and early '90s.

The believers point out that Taylor, who was born in 1989, looks remarkably like Zeena Schreck, who served as High Priestess of the Church of Satan from 1985-1990.

The theory first started making the rounds on the internet way back in 2011 and got popular in 2013, but has recently picked up steam once again.

Old pictures of the Satanist, who went by Zeena LaVey at the time, show a woman with vintage Barbie-like looks: pale skin, curly platinum locks, and a bright crimson pout.

Zeena, now 52, is the daughter of Anton LaVey and Diane Hegarty, founders of the Church of Satan.  In the mid-to-late '80s, she served as a spokesperson for the organization, though she eventually denounced the church in 1990 and cut off ties from her family.

Shook 'em off: In 1990, she left the Church and denounced its teachings

These days, she lives in Berlin and works as a graphic artist, musician/composer, writer, animal rights activist, magician, and mystic, according to her website.

During her time as a spokesperson, though, she appeared on several talk shows, including a 1990 episode of Sally Jessy Raphael — stills from which have found their way to the internet.

Those who have stumbled upon the images have found Zeena's resemblance to Taylor to be absolutely uncanny, and quickly began speculating that Zeena used some sort of Satanist ritual to maintain her youth and forge a second career, decades later, as a best-selling pop star.

Plausible: Some people are wondering if Taylor is actually Zeena and retained her youth thanks to magic, while others have guessed she is Zeena's daughter or clone

Others have joked that the two are related in some way, or that Taylor actually is Zeena's clone.

'Google Zeena Lavey pictures and then compare them to Taylor Swift’s. Separated at birth? Zeena’s secret daughter perhaps?' suggested an internet commenter in 2012.

In fact, Zeena only had one child — a son named Stanton Zaharoff LaVey — when she was 13.

Naturally, Taylor herself hasn't responded to neither the doppelgänger comments nor the claims that she's been sending out subliminal satanic messages in her music videos.
