The blonde beauty has been taking time away from her career woes by attending New York Fashion Week events - despite the Big Apple currently hosting the US Open.
On Friday, Maria showed off her enviable athletic physique in boyfriend jeans as she shopped with a friend, before changing into a sexy sequin dress that evening for the star-studded Harper's Bazaar bash at the Plaza Hotel.

Paired with a simple white T-shirt adorned with a lace panel on the front, the star looked casual but chic as she indulged in a little retail therapy.

It's been a difficult year for the former World No. 1 tennis player, who has had to sit out the season as a result of her ongoing two-year ban.
The five-time grand slam winner was suspended following a positive test for the banned drug meldonium during January's Australian Open.

She argued that she had been using the Latvian-made heart disease drug under medical advice for a decade and had not realised it had been added to the World Anti-Doping Agency's (WADA) banned list in January this year.
In July, the Court of Arbitration for Sport said a ruling on her case would be held on September 19.
In March Swiss watch brand TAG Heuer pulled out of negotiations to renew its lucrative deal with the Russian star, who previously fronted its campaigns, but Nike - with whom she holds her largest deal - remains behind her.

Yet, the drama hasn't slowed Maria down and she continues to helm Sugarpova, her wildly popular premium sweets line.
According to its website, the brand aims to 'reflect the fun, fashionable, sweet side' of the international tennis sensation.
However Russian Tennis Federation (RTF) president Shamil Tarpishchev recently said he thinks that Maria may be able to play again as early as January.
'Everything will be decided in September. It is impossible to say for certain but I think she will start playing again by January,' he said last month.
