Her father was one of the world's most feared warlords, who died in a hail of bullets before he could face a UN war crimes tribunal.

Now the wealthy daughter of Serbian paramilitary leader Arkan - who was widely implicated in the slaughter of hundreds of thousands of Croatians and Bosnian Muslims in the 1990s - has reinvented herself as a wealthy socialite.

New pictures of Anastasija Raznatovic, now 18, show she is living the high life, with her carefully-crafted look likened to A-list celebrity Kim Kardashian.

Her father, a notorious bank robber and founder of the bloodthirsty Arkan's Tigers paramilitary group, accumulated huge wealth before his death in January 2000.

And Anastasija's popstar mother Ceca, who met Arkan when she performed for his feared unit, is a huge star in her homeland.

Anastasija, who has 465,000 followers on Instagram, celebrated her 18th birthday at a lavish party in Belgrade, where hundreds of guests and VIPs drank champagne late into the night.

Arkan, whose real name was Zeljko Raznatovic, founded the notorious paramilitary group Arkan's Tigers - the most feared and brutal unit during the ethnic cleansing of Croatians and Bosnian Muslims.

At the time of his death, there were three Interpol warrants out for Arkan's arrest.

He was reputed to be one of the few Serbs to be trusted by the tyrant who led the killings, Slobodan Milosevic - but former US negotiator Richard Holbrooke said in his memoirs that even Milosevic was fearful of the warlord.

Arkan recruited fighters from jails and among football hooligans.

Arkan married Anastasija's mother, Serbian popstar Svetlana Raznatovic - known by her stage name Ceca - in 1995.

Their marriage was branded a 'Serbian fairytale' in the country's media, with the couple having met while Ceca was performing for her soon-to-be husband's paramilitary group.

Ceca is still recording material, with her latest album Autogram having been released this year.

And her new look seems to have won her an army of new fans online.

Another, ‘Suzana’, commented: 'I love the new look, the colour of your hair! You look great!'

And fan ‘Zana’ added: 'The black colour suits you very good! Here, you look like Kim Kardashian.'

WHO WAS NOTORIOUS WARLORD ARKAN?

At the time of his death on January 15, 2000, Arkan had been indicted by the UN for 24 crimes against humanity.

Born in Slovenia, the son of a Yugoslavian air force officer fell into a life of petty crime.

He was later convicted for bank robbery in Belgium, Holland and Germany, and there were arrest warrants for him in Sweden and Italy.

Serbian mobster Goran Vukovic recalled: 'Of all of us, Arkan robbed the most banks. He walked into them almost like they were self service stores - banks were his speciality as well as escapes from prison.'

He was reputed to have been a government assassin, and became the most powerful crime boss in the Balkans.

He founded the violent Serbian Volunteer Guard, which became known as Arkan's Tigers, and fighters became involved in fighting in the Yugoslav wars in 1991.

The unit was implicated in atrocities including the Vukovar hospital massacre, in November 1991, which saw hundreds of patients, mainly Croats, rounded up and taken to deserted fields, where they were executed.

In 1996 Arkan took over football club Obilić, having previously been in charge of Red Star Belgrade's supporters club - from where he recruited hooligan fans to join his paramilitary.

In 1999 the UN announced he faced 24 charges of crimes against humanity.

Before he could be tried, however, Arkan was assassinated in the lobby of Belgrade's InterContinental Hotel, by a junior member of a police mobile brigade.
