Kate Beckinsale always looks fashion savvy.

And the 43-year-old didn't disappoint on Thursday as she stepped out in a chic biker outfit at a studio in the Santa Monica neighbourhood of Los Angeles.

Kate looked cool and relaxed wearing ripped skinny jeans and a distressed white tee paired with a leather jacket and boots.

Kate was also rocking round mirror shades with her hair worn up and messy.

The brunette beauty was all smiles as she opted for black nail polish to match her edgy look.

She showed off her flawless complexion as she opted to go for the natural make-up look.

The actress added a slick of nude lipstick and a touch of blusher to complete her natural and laid back look.

Meanwhile, her ex Michael Sheen - the father of her daughter Lily - recently revealed that Beckinsale prefers his current partner Sarah Silverman to him.

Michael said that the ladies often gang up to tease him.

The 47-year-old actor split from Beckinsale in 2003, but with the pair co-parenting their 17-year-old daughter Lily, they have remained close.

And luckily the Underworld actress gets on well with his new partner, but he quipped that the ladies being friends has wreaked havoc on his life.

Beckinsale, 43, and Michael's current squeeze Sarah, 45, have a close-knit bond that the Masters of Sex star said 'works pretty well.'

Speaking to Chelsea Handler on her Netflix talk show Chelsea, he explained: 'Our relationship now is probably better than it ever was.

'And it helps that she [Kate] actually likes Sarah more than she likes me.

He added: 'The only way it doesn't work out is that now I have not only Sarah, but also Kate and my daughter Lily, who all just make fun of me and embarrass me at any given point.'
