Bad timing! Chloe Grace Moretz is seen hugging ex Brooklyn Beckham on Teen Vogue which was shot before split as she hints at tension

Chloe Grace Moretz split from Brooklyn Beckham in August.

But the 19-year-old star is seen hugging the 17-year-old model on the new cover of Teen Vogue in a case of very bad timing. Though only the back of his head is shown, his Yeah Baby hat that he wore this summer can be seen clearly.

In the interview the beauty hints at trouble as she complained their long-distance relationship was stressful. She also noted that 'trying to keep ourselves in our own little world is difficult.'

Chloe said that it had seemed 'easier' getting into the long-distance relationship with Brooklyn, as they have both 'lived their lives between cities.'

She acknowledged that sometimes they would have to go without speaking because of their schedules, explaining that 'it is just based on trust.'

The movie star said that if you 'could trust each other and go eight hours without talking, then you have something that can withstand space and time.'

Copy Chloe's style with a hint of paisley print

Chloe Moretz’s Teen Vogue cover starring Brooklyn Beckham may be awkward timing following the teen couple's split, but if we focus on the fashion, the issue’s a pure success!

One of our favourite looks has got to be this one of Chloe channelling her inner Rosie the Riveter in a red headscarf teamed with a Coach patchwork print shirt, as she eats a bowl of cherries.

Featuring paisley, checks, and polka dots, this is the perfect shirt for the sartorially indecisive amongst us.

The bad news is this AW16 catwalk piece isn’t currently available to buy, but follow the link on the right to buy a super similar version at Luisa Via Roma.

Chloe also lamented the public nature of their relationship, sharing:  'We are real people and we’re having real emotional experiences, and all this is happening around us.'

But Chloe had taken a moment to gush about Brooklyn's artistic sensibilities, sharing: 'I would definitely be more than happy to be shot by him any day.

'He’s grown up understanding a lot of the artistic sides of different industries, from his mom’s to his dad’s to now his own as an artist,' the Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising star added.

The two were reported to have split in August after a romantic summer together. Chloe had confirmed their relationship on an episode of Watch What Happens Live this past May.

Chloe also seemed to hint at her feud with Kim Kardashian, as she mused on how to handle her social media.

The star remembered realizing as a young teen that bikini shots got 'triple the amount of likes,' but noted you 'have to be very aware' of what you're sharing and 'how your'e portraying yourself.'

'People will post a lot and then they’ll complain about X, Y, and Z happening, and it’s hard to say they’re allowed to complain if they’re posting that much,' said the actress, who previously criticized Kim for sharing nude selfies.

And she appeared to be touching on the fact that she recently decided to drop all of her upcoming films, as shared by The Hollywood Reporter.

'This year especially, I had to realize that it’s OK to ask for help - it’s OK to not know,' Chloe said, as she admitted feeling 'like you really need to have everything figured out.'

'Keep good people around you because positivity begets positivity,' she advised, adding: 'I learned that the hard way. Just try to keep your head above the water and don’t get caught up in all the trash.'

The day before she had shared her cover on social media, Chloe's ex Brooklyn was spotted out in Kensington with a friend.

He kept it casual in a white, short-sleeved T-shirt, which the model wore with one sleeved rolled up.
