So it was no surprise to see Amy Adams keeping busy on Saturday in Los Angeles, multi-tasking on her cellphone.

The 42-year-old actress showed off her svelte figure in a long grey cardigan and denim jeans while she focused on her errands of the day.

The mom-of-one slipped into a form-fitting pair of blue denim jeans, rolled up at the ankles, and paired it with a black shirt and a long, grey buttoned-up cardigan.

The American Hustle star added stylish brown booties to her look that matched her camel-colored hand purse.

She pulled her fiery red hair back in a low ponytail and covered her make-up free face with a pair of dark sunglasses.

Amy was coming off a chaotic week at various film festivals and screenings in Toronto, New York and Venice.

The five-time Oscar nominee screened her sci-fi thriller, Arrivals, which stars her former co-star Jeremy Renner.

She plays a linguist expert who is recruited by the military to to investigate a dozen alien spacecrafts who hover above the earth.

Her other film, starring Jake Gyllenhaal, tells the story of a happily married wealthy woman (Amy) who receives a copy of a manuscript for a novel written by her ex-husband (Jake).

Recently awarded a Silver Lion at this year's Venice Film Festival, Tom-Ford directed Nocturnal Animals unfolds into dark and disturbing plots.

Amy certainly is the central character in both films, which are receiving high praises and award speculation.

However, the Enchanted actress prefers playing the supporting character.

She told The Guardian in an interview earlier this month: 'A lot of the times, as a supporting character, you get to play an amazing character. I’m not looking at the size of a role, I’m looking at the chance to grow.'

Arrivals hits theaters on November 11th and Nocturnal Animals opens in the U.S. November 23rd.
