30 beers, 14 bottles of wine and free flowing whisky: Shane Warne hits the booze hard with his buddies while living it up in Scotland for the Alfred Dunhill golf tournament

He's known as one of the most accomplished cricketers of all time, and for his love of knocking back beers.

And Shane Warne, 47, has been hitting the drink once again, having an extremely boozy evening with a few of his mates on Tuesday night.

The cricket star is currently in Scotland to participate in the charitable Alfred Dunhill Links Championship and enjoy a beer - or 30 - at the same time.

On Wednesday morning, Shane posted a photo on Instagram of a kitchen filled with empty bottles of different alcohol, including 30 beers and 14 wine bottles along with copious amounts of whisky.

'The morning after a few quit [sic] ones with boys!' before tagging three of his friends.

A very generous Warnie has offered his services for the coveted event - a unique chance to play a practice round with the cricket legend on October 5.

The golf round with Shane in Scotland is up for auction through www.ebay.co.uk, and will raise funds for the Alfred Dunhill Links Foundation.

The foundation raises funds for a variety of selected charities and and other benevolent organisations.

Just last week, the former World Cup winning bowler posted another picture of a boozy evening.

In the picture, the womaniser is hanging out with a bunch of his buddies and his 17-year-old son, Jackson.

The former cricketer captioned the photo: 'Beers, pizza, mates and the #alffinals! Carn the Hawks.'

In late March, Shane came under scrutiny for his controversial booze remarks.

Warne was pilloried on social media for repeatedly asking cricket stars how 'thirsty' they were for a drink in interviews following Australia's demolition of New Zealand at the Cricket World Cup final.

Warne asked wicket-keeper first asked Brad Haddin: 'Are you feeling thirsty?'

He then quizzed batsman Steve Smith: 'Are you going to have a bit of a drink tonight too Smitty? Are you going to get thirsty as well?'

Finally, Warnie asked fast bowler Josh Hazlewood: 'So what's the plan - besides lots of drink and that?

'How long is that going to last? Just one night, two nights?

'Go and enjoy yourselves guys. Hopefully we'll join you for a few.'

Twitter erupted. Iohyouforever said: 'Shane Warne currently sounds thirstier than James Franco in 127 hours.'

Another user suggested Warnie was trying to get an invite for a night out.

ABC journalist Lucy Carter said: 'I feel like Shane Warne is desperately trying to get invited to drinks but every player he's interviewing isn't having a bar of it.'

One of Warnie's most famous boozy days was at Royal Ascot in July 2013, when he shoved a whole beer glass into his mouth.

He attended the event with former fiancee Liz Hurley.
