Staying strong: Shannen Doherty puts her brave face on as she steps out with mom Rosa after chemo session

She underwent grueling chemotherapy on Wednesday as she continues her battle with cancer.

And just 24 hours later, Shannen Doherty stoically stepped out in Malibu, California.

The 45-year-old Beverly Hills 90120 star may have looked somber, but obviously felt well enough to run some errands with her mum on Thursday.

Despite being weakened by her ongoing treatments for breast cancer, she took a stroll in the sunshine, covering her eyes with dark glasses.

Since she's lost her hair as a result of chemotherapy and radiation, the Charmed actress donned a blue and white baseball cap.

She kept comfortable in her baggies - grey sweat-pants and a white striped hoodie.

In addition to traditional treatments, she has also been open to more 'outside the box' approaches.

Last week, she posted a photo of herself resting inside a hyperbaric chamber and wearing an oxygen mask.

'My reconstructive surgeon, Dr Jay Orringer, wanted to have the best outcome possible. That meant a hyperbaric chamber along with many other outside of the box methods,' she explained. 'The result.... He saved my skin.'
