'I'm super excited!': Candace Cameron Bure reveals when the second season of Fuller House will arrive on Netflix

Full House fans who strung along for its Netflix follow-up Fuller House received some major news on Wednesday.

During an episode of The View, co-hostess Candace Cameron Bure was 'thrilled to announce that Season Two of Fuller House will premiere globally on December 9th, only on Netflix!'

Cameron Bure heads up the cast of Fuller House as widowed veterinarian and mother of three DJ Tanner Fuller. She'd played the same character as an adolescent on Full House, which ran from 1987 to 1993.

As she announced the release date, a poster for the second series appeared on the screen. Thereon, the cast are sprawled across a picnic blanket on a leaf-strewn field. In the background, the sun sets behind the San Francisco skyline.

'I'm super excited,' she effervesced. 'Our season this year is very holiday-themed. We have a Halloween show, Thanksgiving.' Her face screwed up and her co-hostesses had to prompt her before she remembered: 'Christmas, New Year's Eve!'

She also revealed: 'Unfortunately, after today, I won't be back [on The View] for a couple of weeks, 'cause I'm going to film my new Christmas movie. But I'll be back in mid-October, so don't think I went anywhere. I will be back! Well,' she quipped, 'some of you might be happy I went somewhere.'

Though she didn't provide details about the 'new Christmas movie,' she has filmed multiple previous Christmas movies for the Hallmark Channel, including A Christmas Detour in 2015, Christmas Under Wraps in 2014 and Let It Snow in 2013.

The 40-year-old was wearing a full-sleeved red dress with gold buttons running along her neckline, which fell to provide an abundant view of her cleavage.

Her fellow series regulars on Fuller House include Jodie Sweetin as her character's sister and Andrea Barber as her character's best friend. Both also starred on Full House.

At the end of the first series, DJ Tanner Fuller still had yet to decide between two prospective relationships: one with Steve Hale (Scott Weinger), another Full House holder, or one with her fellow veterinarian Matt Harmon (John Brotherton).

Deadline have reported that both Brotherton and Weinger have been promoted to regular for the second series of Fuller House, having been recurring players on the first.

After The View aired on Wednesday, Netflix tweeted an image of the poster, writing: 'Consider it an early holiday present,' and iterating the release date.
