It has been 17 years since a bright blonde Christina Aguilera shot to fame with the release of her hit Genie In A Bottle.

And the 35-year-old has now decided to go back to her platinum roots.

Christina shared an Instagram photo while showing off her latest look on Friday night after ditching her fiery red hair.

The pop star looked every inch the pin-up with her almost white hair in old Hollywood inspired curls and teamed with sparkling red lips and false eyelashes.

'Blondes really do have more fun,' she captioned the sexy snapshot.

Christina has experimented with her hair over the years, and debuted her saucy red tresses in June.

Earlier in the year, she had enjoyed a brief spell with edgy lilac locks before going back to blonde.

And while she is best known for her bleach blonde look, the Dirrty hit-maker has also rocked jet black hair, rainbow dip dyed hair and brightly coloured highlights.

Christina is currently making the most of having more time with her family after leaving her coaching post on The Voice.

The singer threw a Super Mario themed second birthday party for her daughter Summer Rain earlier this month.

Christina has dating Matthew Rutler, Summer's father, since 2010 and they announced their engagement more than two years ago.

She is also mother to son Max, eight, from her marriage to Jordan Bratman. The pair separated in 2010 after just under five years of marriage, and finalised their divorce the following year.

Christina and Pharrell Williams both stepped down from The Voice ahead of its 11th season, with Alicia Keys and Miley Cyrus joining Adam Levine and Blake Shelton on the show.

Last month, Christina released the song Telepathy featuring Nile Rodgers for Netflix series The Get Down.

In June, the mother-of-two released the song Change, dedicated to late The Voice contestant Christina Grimmie and the victims of the 2016 Orlando nightclub shooting.

The proceeds were donated to the National Compassion Fund to benefit the families of the victims.
