It's that time of year again - the days are getting shorter, while pumpkin lattes are adding spice to our mornings.

So it's the perfect time to break out the fall wardrobe.

And Jessica Alba transitioned seemlessly into the new season, making a very fashionable outing in New York City on Friday.

The ever-fashionable star, who has an envy-worthy wardrobe, did not fail to please style bloggers as she was spotted on a busy sidewalk in the Big Apple.

Jessica dressed her slim figure in navy trousers which were cropped at the ankle to showcase a pair of trendy white creepers.

The mother-of- two teamed the sophisticated pants with a blue and white striped V-neck sweater which hugged her trim waistline.

She layered the chic fall look with a double breasted trench coat which closely matched the color of her pants.

The former Dark Angel star slung a white square purse across her body and accessorized with large gold hoops in her ears.

The brunette beauty looked perfectly made up - she left her long honey-highlighted locks down in loose waves and added bronze eye-shadow and a pink gloss to her pursed lips.

Her perfectly made up face was no doubt embellished with products from her new beauty range - as showcased in a new video posted online by her pal Chelsea Handler the same day.

Jessica co-founded The Honest Company five years ago and it has proved hugely popular with a dedicated following of customers committed to purchasing its diapers, soap, lotion and cleaning products that, the company says, are free of 'harsh chemicals.'
