He said the brothers began smoking weed together in a park when he was nine and Paul was 10 - but Paul began to experiment with harder drugs and soon turned to crime.

In his mid-twenties Paul started using heroine and only a few years later Stephen 'fell to the floor in shock' after receiving a phone call telling him his brother had died.

He wrote: 'He died twelve years ago from a heroin overdose and it's something my family will never get over.'

'The coroner said that there was such a huge amount of heroin in his system that she didn't think he'd done it by mistake.

'He’d been taking heroin for many years and he would have known that amount would be fatal.'

Stephen added that he was comforted by the coroner, who told him that there was also whiskey in his brother's system and he would have felt no pain after he died asleep as his heart slowed.

He appears on Channel 4's Gogglebox with his friend and ex-boyfriend Chris.

The show features families and groups of friends from around England and Wales, who react to British television shows from their own homes.

At its peak in 2015, the show had more than 4 million viewers on average.

A few months ago, Chris spoke about his dramatic hair transplant which has reinvigurated him.

The reality TV star went under the knife and had 2,000 hair grafts transplanted into his balding crown - costing a whopping £10,000.

Mr Steed, a 40-year-old hairdresser based in West Sussex, starting losing his locks at the age of just 18, and turned to a series of 'embarrassing' wigs to conceal it.

It was the second hair transplant Mr Steed had in the last five years - all in the hopes of sporting a full head of hair for his upcoming nuptials to landscape gardener Tony Butland, 46.

Mr Steed, who claims he now feels 'ten years younger', said: 'I had significant baldness around my crown and this new procedure has filled in all those gaps.
