Bringing sexy back! Ariel Winter shows plenty of skin in backless top as she arrives for friend's birthday bash

She may not have been the birthday girl, but there's no doubt Ariel Winter was the centre of attention on Saturday.

The 18-year-old showed liberal amounts of flesh as she stepped out in Los Angeles to attend a friend's birthday party.

Winter, who's played the role of Alex Dunphy on ABC's Modern Family the past seven years, wore a backless white tank top, tight blue jeans and white wedge sandals, keeping on a pair of tinted sunglasses on the sunny day.

Ariel had her hands full on the outing, as she carried a large gift box wrapped in pink paper while headed to her outing.

Winter, a social media favorite who boasts more than 2.5 million Instagram followers, recently appeared in a glam photo spread for the latest edition of Rogue Magazine.

In an interview accompanying the photos, Winter sounded off about the negative feedback she's received online for those critical of her body, which she feels is a byproduct of 'being a woman in the [entertainment] industry.

'It's complete sexism,' Winter told the publication. 'It's really degrading, annoying, and sad that this is what the media puts out. It's disgusting to me.'

Winter, already a seasoned vet at such as young age, told the magazine she's built a thick skin to the negativity.

'You get sort of jaded after a certain period of time' being exposed to it,' said the teen actress, who began working in Hollywood when she was just aged seven years.

'I feel like I've been in the industry for so long that I have gotten to that point where people's comments and the exposure doesn't bother me as much.'
