Alec Baldwin shared a backstage video of his family ahead of his debut as Donald Trump on NBC's sketch series Saturday Night Live.

'We're here in my dressing room at 30 Rock getting ready to do SNL! What could be better than SNL?' the 58-year-old Oscar nominee asked on his second wife Hilaria's Instagram.

The married couple of four years - who have a 26-year age gap - then pointed to their three-year-old daughter Carmen fast asleep on the couch.

Baldwin will play the 70-year-old reality-star-turned-Republican presidential nominee throughout the 42nd season.

'I think the debate really, really crippled him,' the Back in the Day actor - who also does a 'great' Tony Bennett - told Extra on Friday.
