Simone
Simone Harouche is a Californian girl with an impressive portfolio to show off for just a decade as a stylist. Her clients include high profile celebrities such as the Kardashians, Jennifer Lopez, Nicole Richie and Christina Aguilera. In fact, it was the superb job she did in transforming the image of Aguilera in the 2006 album and tour, Back to Basics, which drew the world’s attention. Add to this, she has been involved in styling several designer campaigns such as Guess by Marciano and her work has been featured in a number of designer magazines. Harouche is known and consulted for her signature talent of styling and breathing life into different time periods in her work, while adding her own unique twist. She is famous for collecting and using one-off pieces and antique pieces from around the world, particularly, handbags and even has her own handbag collection.

Here is a look at how this impressive career came to be:

1980

Born March 8 in Angeleno, California.

1980-1998

Harouche grew up in a fashion-forward home. Her father and sister were in the fashion industry and had their love for fashion had an impact on her. From an early age, Harouche demonstrated a knack for fashion and was fascinated by the styles of fashion time periods. She claims she always knew she was meant for the world of fashion.

Harouche attended elementary school and was very close friends with the now uber-famous Kim Kardashian, who she would later style in the years to come.

1999

Harouche moved to New York soon after high school to study journalism and photography at Parsons as in NY.

2002-2003

After graduating, Harouche moved back to Los Angeles and started working as an intern and then assistant to stylist Brooke Dulien. She claimed that getting this position was part initiative and part chance encounter. Brooke Dulien was actually an old babysitter of Harouche and when Harouche was sending her resume out to every stylist in town, one of them happened to be Dulien, who she had just bumped into the day before.

2003-2004

Worked as an assistant to stylist Maryam Malakpour.

2004-2006

Met Christina Aguilera who was just starting to do promotional work and press for her album Back to Basics. Harouche also worked as a stylist on Wassup Rockers and Taradise, which were both released in 2005.

2006

Back to Basics was released and the rest, as they say, was history. The worldwide recognition Harouche earned when Aguilera was transformed from her somewhat underground street-fighter image in her Stripped album to the classic, old Hollywood pin-up catapulted her  into the high-profile stylist she is today with celebrities chasing after her.

2011

“The Hollywood Reporter” named Harouche as a “Top 25 Most Powerful Stylists in Hollywood”.

Miley

2008-present

Harouche has been working with  Miley Cyrus for the past 5 years and just about all of her creative and fashion endeavors.  From red carpet to tour wardrobe, she’s done it all with her.   Talk about an amazing client to work with.
