It's been a year since Lamar Odom's life hung in the balance after a near-fatal collapse at a Nevada brothel.

And 12 months on, the former NBA star seemed back to his old self, smiling happily as he enjoyed a night out at Universal Studios in Los Angeles.

The 36-year-old wore a red hoodie, VIP pass slung around his neck, as he partied at the celebrity-studded opening for the park's Halloween Horror Nights.

Lamar, the estranged husband of Khloe Kardashian, posed for a snap with a ghoulish version of the Statue Of Liberty.

At 6ft10, Lamar isn't used to being overshadowed - but found himself looking up to the actor, who wore a pair of stilts.

The happy scene was a world away from October 2015, when after drinking heavily, taking cocaine and around ten doses of a Viagra-like substance, the former reality star collapsed at the Love Ranch Vegas.

He was rushed to hospital where doctors battled to save him, before his estranged wife took charge of his recovery - planning months of rehab which slowly improved his health.

Despite this Khloé recently revealed she is worried Lamar will slip back into his old ways.

She said: 'Everyone wants to see Lamar do well and succeed at life. Everyone was routing for Lamar, except him. Nothing is going to wake him up, that's just the way it is. This is Lamar.'

Khloe is currently dating NBA star Tristan Thompson, 25, and is said to have cut Lamar 'out of her life'.

Joining Lamar - who has yet to officially divorce from Khloe, despite their 2013 split - was a host of other stars.

Jersey Shore's DJ Pauly D and girlfriend Aubrey O’ Day turned the horror show into a date night, posing arm in arm for a snap. Getting into the spirit of the occasion, Aubrey even donned a skull shirt.

Pretty Little Liars star Tyler Blackburn, Hunger Games actor Josh Hutcherson and Girl Meets world stars Rowan Blanchard and Corey Folglemanis also attended.
