The bash, hosted by Supporting Wounded Veterans and Skiing With Heroes, saw the Hampshire-born socialite cut a 60s-inspired figure.

This consisted of a tailored black dress with contrast colour panels and extra-wide collars.

Fully embracing the retro theme with a synced belt and a rigid clutch bag, the former babysitter of Prince Charles resembled Daphne from Scooby Doo.

But it was her stunning new hair, which commanded the most attention.

A sharp bob cut in a rich copper glow, it perfectly framed her face and offered a new aesthetic for the former author.

Seemingly happy with the style change-up, she was all smiles as she worked the philanthropic crowd.

The latest sighting comes just days after she revealed her desire for a man who offered her authentic love.

Asked what one thing she'd most desire, Tara told Sebastian Shakespeare: 'The ultimate man who absolutely adores me and actually married me for no other reason than love. My initials may be TPT, but they could probably be ATM.'

Tara, who once had a £400-a-day cocaine habit, is the daughter of Olympic skiier Charles Palmer-Tomkinson, a friend of Prince Charles, and his wife Patti.

'If I could find a hero like my father, and have a marriage like that, then that would be the man I desire,' adds Tara, who suffers from anxiety.

'I don't think I'd get so anxious if I had a man on my side . . . all the people who aren't anxious, they're probably told every night how beautiful they are.'

Now she knows how men feel! The latest sighting comes just days after she revealed her desire for a man who offered her authentic love - rather than a desire for money
