And Kanye West still wants to keep a relatively low profile days after the traumatic events.

The 39-year-old rapper was spotted out and about in New York City on Tuesday night.

No doubt Kanye wanted to keep his privacy despite being on the town as he kept his hood up while exiting his apartment.

He was dressed comfortably in a light brown jacket over a beige hoodie and white T-shirt.

The Famous hitmaker completed the look with baggy green Adidas athletic trousers tucked into brown lace-up combat boots.

After his wife's recent experience, Kanye certainly seemed to not want to take any chances in the Big Apple as he was joined by a security guard.

The outing comes just after he was forced to reschedule two of his immediate performances in Philadelphia and Detroit following his wife's robbery in a luxury Paris apartment at gun point.

According to Page Six, the Famous hit-maker has called off his shows on Tuesday and Thursday; with the concerts being re-arranged for dates in December. 

Having left the stage at the Meadows Festival in New York on Sunday night as news of the robbery reached him, the rapper has taken steps to stay by his wife's side.

According to the website, West has 'bumped' the shows back to the end of the year, with the Philadelphia leg taking place on December 13 and the Michigan show on December 22.

Currently in the midst of his Saint Pablo tour, the rapper was stateside while his wife was making A-List appearances at runway shows during Paris Fashion Week.

And the news that his wife was robbed of millions of dollars worth of jewellery on Sunday evening is said to have left him reeling.

He learned about the incident at the Meadows Festival, abruptly announcing a 'family emergency' had occurred mid-song, before walking off the stage. 

Realizing how vulnerable his wife was, Kanye is intent on protecting his Kim and their two children North and Saint with increased security, the source said.

'He's really spooked by the whole thing, because he knows that they are targets now,' the source told People.

Kim had been asleep in just a robe early Monday when she heard the robbers barreling up the stairs of her two-story apartment behind La Madeleine church in the city's 8th arrondissement, TMZ reported.

While Kim's phone was snatched out of her hands before she could call for help, her quick-thinking friend Simone Harouche sprung from her bed downstairs and locked herself in a bathroom, the website reported.

The fashion stylist and long-time friend of the Kardashians called Kim's personal bodyguard Pascal Duvier, who was out at the Arc nightclub with Kourtney and Kendall less than two miles away.
