Three years after it was first teased, Mean Girls the musical will officially be staged in fall 2017 in Washington, D.C.

The newly-verified social media accounts for the production confirmed the news on October 3 aka National Mean Girls Day.

Song titles for the show based on the 2004 comedy include She Doesn't Even Go Here, You Can't Sit With Us, and On Wednesdays We Wear Pink.

Mean Girls screenwriter/star Tina Fey and her composer husband Jeff Richmond are collaborating with Tony-nominated lyricist Nell Benjamin (Legally Blonde).

Back in April, the 46-year-old Golden Globe winner revealed to Playbill they were crafting the musical adaptation all summer thanks, in part, to Ellie Kemper.

The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt funnywoman, 36, welcomed her first child - a son (whose name was not revealed) - in July with her husband Michael Koman.

Fans of the high school flick are hoping Tony winner Kristin Chenoweth can play Mrs. June George and Scream Queen Lea Michele can play Regina George.
