And while Lauren Silverman stole the limelight from her partner Simon Cowell in a daring plum-coloured gown, she also experienced the downside to a racy outfit.

Featuring a sheer torso with intricate floral detailing, the 39-year-old suffered a wardrobe mishap as the see-through nature of the garment exposed her bare chest.

Simon Cowell and Lauren Silverman arrived in serious style at The Shooting Star Chase Ball this week.

It was of course no surprise the couple were present as Simon is Vice President of the charity. Despite his celebrity status, Lauren was the one who stole the limelight as they arrived.

The beautiful beau of the X-Factor mogul radiated in a purple gown. The dress by Zuhair Murad boasted a pretty sheer embroidered top while the plain skirt ensured it was super flattering. She paired her look with metallic accessories too to really ensure she sparkled at the event.
