Pol-daddy? Eleanor Tomlinson sports a bulging belly as she films dramatic scenes with Aidan Turner on a Cornish beach for Poldark series three

Their steamy romance in the period drama has seen them hitting headlines and topping social media.

However, it seems that Captain Ross and Demelza are going to have to put their passions on hold as they prepare to welcome a baby in series three.

Seen sporting a bulging belly on-location in Cornwall on Monday, Eleanor Tomlinson looked to be expecting an on-screen bundle of joy as she filmed a series of dramatic shots alongside co-star Aidan Turner.

The 24-year-old beauty was seen walking onto the set in her usual period costume, except the Yorkshire-born actress now had a baby bump in place.

Wearing a rust coloured blouse over a white undershirt and billowing moss skirt, there was no disguising Demelza's tummy.

With her signature flame-haired locks swept off of her face, tumbling down her back, the actress was instantly recognizable.

Stood opposite a co-star, Eleanor appeared to be filming an upsetting scene, which saw the actress bursting into tears as she was given a message - presumably regarding her husband, Captain Ross.

Stood alone in the middle of the beach, Demelza was presented with a tricorn hat by the dishevelled man.

The hat, appeared to signal grief for the former servant girl, as the actress screwed her features into a grief stricken mask - though she returned to her usual light-hearted manner as soon as the director called a halt.

Following the scene, Eleanor was handed a fluffy robe to wrap around herself - presumably to keep the bite of the wind at bay.

However, fans of Aidan can breathe a sigh of relief, as the actor was also on set - marshalling a crew of sailors as he stood atop a wooden long boat.

Sporting Ross' usual clobber, the actor stood out from the crowd in his overcoat, tricorn hat and waistcoat.

Stood amid his motley crew of sailors and production staff, Ross looked to be in a spot of bother as his vessel was beached.

Though it seems that the couple will enjoy a happy ending to the drama, as Demelza was later seen sprinting across the beach, straight into Ross' arms as he arrived home in Cornwall.

Though the Poldarks welcomed baby Jeremy in the latest episode of the smash-hit, it looked as though Ross and Demelza are eager to add to their young family.

Following the tragic death of their baby daughter Juliar to putrid throat in the finale of series one, the Cornish couple welcomed their second child aboard a boat in the current series.

The hour-long installment saw Demelza go from pregnant to holding baby Jeremy at break-neck speed, via a treacherous labour in a boat.

Eleanor and Aidan's co-star Heida Reed was also spotted filming scenes on the craggy Cornish shoreline.

The actress who plays Poldark's first love Elizabeth, was dressed in all the finery of a country lady.

Wearing an elegant and demure pink dress, which featured white lace trim, the Icelandic actress looked simply stunning.

The 28-year-old star was kitted out with a straw sunhat that sheltered her pale skin from the sunlight.

The actress was filming scenes solo, walking across a grassy ledge which overlooked the beach where Aidan and Eleanor were filming.
