  • He has been 'crying and calling his parents Bill and Jane every day'
  • The Hollywood icon is in shock after the shake up that has involved the LA Police Department and Department Of Children And Family Services

It's been exactly two weeks since Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt after an ugly fight aboard a private jet that allegedly involved abuse with his 15-year-old son Maddox.

And the 52-year-old Fury star is still trying to recover from the shake up that has involved the Los Angeles Police Department, the Department Of Children And Family Services and high-profile lawyers.

UsWeekly is reporting the actor 'is in bad shape' and 'can't believe what his life has become.' He is also 'still totally crushed' by it all and has been breaking down in tears.

The Ocean's Eleven star was with Jolie, 41, for 12 years but was only married for two of them.

'He can’t believe this is what his life has become and he’s in bad shape but the kids are the only thing he’s hanging onto,' a source told the site.

'He’s been leaning heavily on his family and speaks to his parents and close friends and his manager constantly. His mom has been talking to him constantly.'

His parents are Jane and Bill Pitt who live in Missouri. He has a brother Doug, 50, and a sister Julie, 47.

Pitt's manager is Cynthia Pett-Dante at Brillstein Entertainment Partners.

Last week Jolie and Pitt agreed to a laundry list of things in order to not have the courts jump in and decide what should happen to the children, Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Knox and Vivienne, eight.

Jolie will have physical custody of the kids until October 20. In the meantime, her estranged spouse has volunteered to have a monitored visit with them as a therapist sits by his side.

After that, the therapist can judge whether he needs further monitoring. It is believed that the DCFS will be updated on these meetings.

Both Jolie and Pitt will get counseling, and the entire family - both parents and children - will get therapy together.

The site had earlier reported that Brad was 'beside himself and had been crying.'

He was also taken aback by the timing.

'Angelina filed the court papers a minute before the courts closed on Monday night. He didn’t have a lawyer or anything. She had threatened divorce in the past but he did not think she would file this time,' a source told UsWeekly.

It was added: 'He will cooperate in whatever way he can. He loves those kids more than anything.'

On Sunday it was reported by TMZ that Jolie has reportedly hired two expert lawyers to help her with her divorce.

Angelina's additional entertainment lawyers have reportedly been recruited to ensure she reaches a settlement she wants.

MailOnline has contacted Angelina Jolie's representative about the reports.

The Maleficent actress – who married the Thelma & Louise star in 2014 but filed for a divorce last month – has allegedly stated she doesn't want her partner to be prosecuted for child abuse allegations, and has threatened to go 'radio silent' and not cooperate with law enforcements if a case against Brad is made.

Last week it was reported Jolie may return to action films as she is in talks to play real-life Afghanistan war hero Major Mary Jennings Hagar in TriStar's Shoot Like a Girl.
