That's what you get for wearing a bomber! Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs strip for airport security at LAX

On reflection, perhaps wearing a bomber jacket wasn't the best idea getting onto a plane.

Robert Pattinson and girlfriend FKA Twigs were afforded no special treatments as they made their way through security at LAX on Monday. 

The couple had to strip down and remove their shoes just like normal mortals before boarding a flight out of Los Angeles.

The 30-year-old star arrived at the busy terminal wearing black jeans with orange and black Addidas trainers.

He paired it with an untucked beige button-down shirt and a bulky green bomber, which of course had to come off before he headed into the body scanner.

Running his fingers through his luxuriant hair, the 6'1" Twilight heartthrob adopted the infamous pose for a scan that many female fans would have paid good money for a print out of.

After that it was back on with the ubiquitous shades and plain black baseball cap as he attempted to re-lower his profile.

Then on Thursday they were spotted once again at Drake's aftershow party at The Nice Guy in LA.

Before this week, their last high-profile event together had been the Met Gala back in May.

Pattinson has plenty of work lined up over the next year or two: next up he will star as  Henry Costin in The Lost City of Z, which is set for release in October.

He'll also star in Good Time this year and Damsel next, as well as High Life the year after that. 

Meanwhile online reports of a Twilight reboot appear to have no evidence backing them.
