'I don't kiss and tell!' Married at First Sight star who denied consummating his marriage FINALLY admits he DID have sex with his wife, as he claims he only kept it a secret to protect her

  • Nick Pendergrast, 32, said he was keeping their secret until he knew his wife Sonia Granados, 33, was okay with revealing the truth
  • The couple finally admitted that they had sex multiple times before Nick said he wasn't attracted to her during an explosive fight
  • Although the two agreed to work on their marriage, Sonia said she wasn't ready to move back in to their marital home just yet
  • Tom Wilson, 28, and Lillian Vilchez, 24, struggled with his inability to talk about their future
  • Meanwhile, Derek Schwartz, 35, saw his wife Heather Seidel, 32, for the first time since she asked him for divorce

A Married at First Sight star who denied that he and his wife consummate their marriage explained that he was keeping mum about their active sex life because he wanted to wait until he knew she was ready to share their secret.

On Tuesday night's episode of the FYI reality series, Nick Pendergrast, 32, claimed he and his wife Sonia Granados, 33, only kissed before he later admitted that they went to 'third base'.

However, after Sonia revealed that she already told Pastor Calvin Roberson, one of the show's relationship experts, that they've had sex more than once, Nick shrugged his shoulders and said: 'I'm not a kisser and teller'.

During their separate meetings with Pastor Calvin, Nick denied consummating his marriage, while Sonia admitted that they have been having sex and hiding it from him and the show's other two relationship experts.

'I have been intimate with Nick. I just didn't want anyone to know. I thought that was something between him and I and I think we wanted to keep it that way,' she said, telling Pastor Calvin: 'It is a very private matter. I didn't want it out there.'

The relationship expert said he was blown away that they were hiding just how intimate they had become, and according to Nick, he was just trying protect his wife.

'I wanted to make sure she was okay with it,' he said during their group session, and Sonia found his denial to be somewhat chivalrous.

'I appreciate that a lot. I think that's very respectable of him,' Sonia said, but she was still really about their explosive fight in which he announced that he wasn't attracted to her.

Unsurprisingly, Sonia said that the fact that they had been intimate made his cruel words even more hurtful.

'How are you intimate with someone that you aren't attracted to? That makes me feel dirty,' Sonia told the cameras.

After the cat was out of the bag, Nick confirmed to the cameras that he and Sonia had sex 'because there is some sort of connection'.

'I know inside that Sonia is a beautiful person,' he added.

During their session, Sonia reiterated that Nick 'really, really hurt' her, telling him: 'I feel like I gave you a piece of me and you took it and crumpled it up threw it on the floor.'

Nick apologized for hurting her and asked if she would be willing to give him another chance so they can work on their friendship and build their marriage from there.

Sonia accepted his apology and at the end of the session, Pastor Calvin gifted them their wedding album, which they both enjoyed looking through when they went home.

As part of the counselors orders, Sonia and Nick took each other to places that are special to them. During Sonia's trip to the Little Cuba area of Miami, Florida, they ate Cuban food, and she admitted to Nick that she actually misses his dogs — which she used to be deathly afraid of.

Meanwhile, Nick took her to his high school baseball field and talked about how his mother used to hide in the bleachers because he thought she was bad luck.

The two were getting along better than they had in weeks, and Nick appeared to be invested in making his marriage work once again.

And while Sonia said she wasn't ready to move back into their marital home, Nick was understanding because he knew he 'messed up'.

'I would really like Sonia to move back in, but I am willing to wait for her,' he said at the end of the episode, proving that this couple may not be heading for a divorce just yet.

Meanwhile, Tom Wilson, 28, and Lillian Vilchez, 24, were able to tackle some of their issues and insecurities after what was mostly a blissful four weeks of marriage.

On last night's episode, Lillian once again reiterated that she is terrified that Tom isn't truly committed to her because he won't discuss their future together.

During their session with Pastor Calvin, Tom explained that he believes that they should be building their relationship from the ground up and creating a strong foundation for their marriage.

'Talking about the future I think is just wasted time,' he said. 'We could be talking about issues right now.'

Lillian, who has been vocal about wanting children, questioned what Tom was looking at if he wasn't looking to the future.

'The fact that Tom doesn't like talking about the future, it scares me,' she told the cameras. 'He doesn't realize that because of that he's making me feel insecure about our future together.'

Lillian broke down in tears as she admitted that she fears he will abandon her just like her father did, but he insisted that he is '100 per cent' committed to their marriage.

Despite her worries, the two appeared to be head over heels in love and Tom was playing a joke on his wife by messing with her toothpaste, which she likes squeezed neatly from the bottom.

Tom also took her to a beach that was special to him, and while they cuddled on the sand, he opened up to her about his last relationship.

'I think the topic of kids, the topic of marriage — I was in a state of mind where I just figured, "Let's give this time." We had a lot of issues we had to figure out, and I don't think that's what she wanted to hear,' he admitted.

And while his inability to talk about the future appeared to be an issue in his last relationship, he seemed to be making an effort to learn from his past mistakes and move forward for Lillian.

Reconciliation? Meanwhile, Derek Schwartz, 35, is seeing his wife Heather Seidel, 32, for the first time since she asked him for divorce. He can be seen reading the letter she wrote him

'When Pastor Calvin came by and she dropped the '"I think you're going to run off just like my father did" line, I was crushed!' Tom told People after the episode aired. 'At what point did I ever make her feel like I'm going to run?

'I was absolutely lost, but Calvin saved the day by acknowledging my side: If she tries to read my mind instead of just asking me how I feel, we won't have a sturdy, strong base, and this could be the start of a major issue.'

Finally, Derek Schwartz, 35, saw his wife Heather Seidel, 32, for the first time since she asked him for divorce.

On last week's episode, Dr. Pepper Schwartz advised them to write letters to each other, and Heather admitted that it made her sad to think about what could have happened.

In her letter to Derek, Heather said they had some good times together and she hopes that they can move forward, but he doesn't think she really gave their marriage a chance.

Hope for the future? In her session with Rachel, Heather said she thinks she and Derek could be friends

Before seeing each other again, Derek had a private session with relationship expert Rachel DeAlto, who pointed out that he is still wearing his wedding ring.

Although he didn't say anything about wearing his wedding band, it was clear that he wasn't ready to move on.

Rachel noted that the experts will be there to support him even after the social experiment in case he is hit with feelings for anger or resentment for not getting a chance to complete the process.

Meanwhile, during Heather's private session with Rachel, she said she stopped thinking of Derek as a husband after he accused her of flirting with their surf instructor on their honeymoon. However, she noted that she thinks he is a 'nice guy' and that they could be friends.

'I think it could’ve been so different. It makes me wonder, did I jump the gun?' she asked the cameras.

The episode ended before it was revealed what was said during their meeting together, but it doesn't look likely that a reconciliation is in the cards for the couple who had a tumultuous relationship from the get go.
