Janice Dickinson's psychiatrist fiancé Robert Hugh Gerner has reportedly surrendered his doctor's licence after 'engaging in a sexual relationship with a patient.'

According to TMZ, the mental health expert, 68, allegedly engaged in a sexual relationship with a female patient from 2004 to 2011 and lived with her for three years.

While this was before Robert started a relationship with Janice, the reported relationship broke the code of ethics.

The site adds that the California Medical Board filed a complaint against Gerner in 2015.

Back in 1994, Robert was reportedly suspended for 60 days in 1994 for sexual misconduct with another patient.

MailOnline has contacted a rep for Janice Dickinson for comment.

In November last year, Robert admitted to going under the knife and getting a facelift ahead of his wedding to Janice.

He told Inside Edition: 'I wanted to look my very best. Janice is a supermodel.'

And it seems to have been a magnanimous gesture on the shrink's part, as he also insisted, 'I don't have to change for her to love me.'

As if to reassure her lover, Janice, 60, said: 'I love you the way you are.'

Janice and her psychopharmacology expert fiance - who goes by the nickname of Rocky - have been engaged since December of 2012 - he proposed after three months.

She said at the time of her love for her man: 'I intend to make Rocky the happiest man in the world for the rest of his life,' she told US Weekly.

'I couldn't be happier right now. Oh! And our wedding is going to make Brad and Angelina's look like a trip to city hall!'

Janice met Robert through his real estate son and Janice told the publication: 'It was love at first sight.'

She has previously dated the likes of Mick Jagger, Sylvester Stallone, Jack Nicholson and Warren Beatty.
