The 21-year-old model is the newest face of the brand's #PerfectNever movement, which encourages women to embrace 'the beauty of imperfection' while using fitness as a way to drown out any negativity that they may come across.

'Working out isn’t only physical for me. It’s mental,' Gigi said. 'It helps me escape the noise in my head. It’s the only time my mind goes quiet.'

Following in the footsteps of the campaign's previous star, UFC fighter Ronda Rousey, Gigi was filmed and photographed working up a sweat while boxing, a sport that the model often speaks passionately about.

The runway star admitted that when she was younger, she was incredibly hard on herself and unable to embrace her mistakes until she finally realized she could learn form them.

'When I was a competitive athlete, I used to be so focused on being perfect that my coaches would take me out of competing all together,' she said.

'I’d focus on my mistakes which would breed more missteps — a domino effect.

She's a boxing fanatic and a regular at the gym and it looks like all of that hard work has paid off for Gigi Hadid.

The supermodel is starring in a fitness campaign for Reebok, and she showed off her killer abs in a strappy sports bra and black leggings both by the athletic retailer.

We adore the caged design that injects a little style into Gigi's sporty ensemble. Elastic bands provide support and comfort and special speedwick fabric keeps you dry during those grueling workouts.

'Until I learned to change the channel, to re-focus, re-set. It was my mistakes, my imperfections that motivated me most.'

The model is covered with sweat - which is unsurprising, as a video from the campaign sees her throwing rapid punches wearing a pair of Reebok boxing gloves.

Gigi took to Instagram on Tuesday morning to celebrate her first fitness campaign by sharing an image from the sporty shoot.

'"Perfect" never exceeds expectation. It doesn't allow us to reach our full potential. May we be confident and have love for who we are, but, in all that we are passionate about, may we always remember that Good is the enemy of GREAT,' she wrote.

'Don't settle. I’m so honored to join a campaign that’s committed to pushing these boundaries for women. Thank you @reebokwomen for creating such an inspiring message of female empowerment — I’m so excited to be a part of it!'

A few weeks ago, Gigi put her boxing skills to good use after she was ambushed by prankster Vitalii Sediuk — who lifted her off the ground as she left the Max Mara show with her model sister Bella, 19.

Gigi responded by forcefully elbowing him to release herself from his grip. The model later defended her behavior in an essay published by Lenny Letter, explaining that she felt endangered by the situation.

'I played volleyball, and my coaches talked about muscle memory. I started boxing two years ago and I always remembered that,' she explained.

'Since then, I hadn't been in a situation that forced me to fight back, but it just came out when he grabbed — me it wasn't a choice.

'I do have that fighter in me,' she continued. 'Honestly, I felt I was in danger, and I had every right to react the way I did.

'If anything, I want girls to see the video and know that they have the right to fight back, too, if put in a similar situation.'
