Kanye West had 'nervous breakdown' and 'FIRED 30 STAFFERS' following NY Fashion Week fiasco that left models fainting and critics snarking

If Donald Trump is done saying, 'You're fired,' Kanye West can pick up the slack.

The 39-year-old rapper, a source told the New York Post, 'had a nervous breakdown' and 'a massive meltdown' in the wake of his Yeezy Season 4 fashion show held September 7 as part of New York Fashion Week - and heads started to roll soon thereafter.

'He had his agent fire all 30 of his staff after the fashion show and got rid of his phone so people can only contact him via e-mail,' an insider told the paper. 'He had a nervous breakdown after the show and that’s what triggered it all.'

The outdoor show, held on a humid Wednesday at Roosevelt Island's Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms Park, was roundly panned for lagging behind time-wise, which led to some overheated models fainting in exhaustion. Reviews of the ambitiously-artsy showcase were tepid, making note of its poor planning and execution.

A separate source close to West said that while the mercurial music-maker was displeased with how the outdoor display turned out, his reaction was not as grandiose as previously described.

'He didn’t have a "nervous breakdown,"' the second source said, noting that the artist soaked up the hailstorm of criticism and got back to work.

'He took stock in what people were saying and he was disappointed - but he’s more determined than ever to get that stuff right,' the source told the paper. 'He’s a grown-up. He was reflective and disappointed in how things went.'

As for the 30 firings, the second source said that not all of those involved were let go, as some were 'moved back to the music side of' Kanye's dealings.

'And as far as throwing away his cellphone? If he did, then it’s not the first time,' the second source said. 'He always does that.'

It's been a mercurial month for the Bound 2 singer filled with personal and professional highs and lows: While his Saint Pablo Tour continues to thrive, the aforementioned NYFW debacle and Sunday's armed robbery of his wife, Kim Kardashian, has undoubtedly added unwanted stress.

As news broke of the socialite's scary incident with robbers, West ceased his Queens, New York concert to be with the mother of his two children.

He subsequently delayed shows in Detroit and Philadelphia until December amid the aftermath of the shocking crime.
