Bruno Tonioli gave his feedback but the crowd roared.

Under the hashtag #DWTS, Twitter erupted with fans asking if anyone had heard what was yelled, with most claiming it was 'you're a cheater!' But it has also been claimed it was chanted 'Go Gators.'

The protesters were quickly silenced off camera; unlike when a gang rushed the stage at the start of the season however, they were able to quickly brush-off the interruption, with Bruno telling Ryan: ’Forget about that, just listen to me.’

Say what: Although it was difficult to hear what exactly they shouted, many on Twitter insisted it was 'You're a cheater!' It has also been said people were calling, 'Go Gators'

Ryan, 32, had admitted he had a lot to do to make up for the previous week, saying: ‘Last week I was nervous and I messed it up.’

However, he vowed: ‘I’m not going home - I’m here to go all the way.’

He had a better time in rehearsals, getting to spend time in a 1.5 million gallon pool for the water-themed Cirque show O, saying: ‘It’s about water so maybe I can bring the gracefulness I have in the water to the dancefloor.

‘My game plan for this week is just to go out there and really crush it,’ he said.

‘That is the happiest I’ve seen you walk over here all season so far, Tom told him after his Viennese Waltz in a black and white suit.

‘Tonight, I definitely saw improvement,’ Carrie Ann told him, with Julianne agreeing: ‘I think you’re totally on the right track. Keep it up. This was a great dance.’

Shake it off: The protesters were quickly silenced off camera; unlike when a gang rushed the stage at the start of the season however, they were able to quickly brush-off the interruption, with Bruno telling Ryan: ’Forget about that, just listen to me.’

‘Your best performance t date, you should be proud,’ Bruno told him, telling him: ‘You really were dancing tonight.’

He could not hide his joy at getting 22, his highest score so far, saying: ‘Oh my God I’m so ecstatic about that, that’s awesome.’

Lochte still faces criticism for lying about being robbed by an armed gang during the Summer Olympics, when he had really just been told to pay for damage to a gas station he had drunkenly vandalised.

Take that: He could not hide his joy at getting 22, his highest score so far, saying: ‘Oh my God I’m so ecstatic about that, that’s awesome'
