Worse for wear Nicole Scherzinger needs a helping hand out of Simon Cowell's 57th birthday bash after partying up a storm

Nicole Scherzinger certainly looked like she'd had a good time as she left Simon Cowell's birthday bash on Wednesday night. 

The 38-year-old X Factor judge appeared to need a helping hand from Simon's girlfriend Lauren Silverman as the pair emerged from La Famiglia restaurant in London.

Sporting a silky bright red dress over black trousers and black heels, Nicole seemed rather unable to focus as she held on tightly to Lauren.

X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger looked red hot at Simon Cowell's birthday bash, but whilst Lauren Silverman and Amanda Holden stuck to all-black for the occasion (wearing Roland Mouret and Bec & Bridge, FYI), it was this flash of scarlet satin that really caught our attention!

Lauren seemed to find the whole thing rather amusing, smiling broadly as she helped Nicole through the door. 

The brunette looked equally glamorous in a one shouldered black dress teamed with strappy cross over heels. 

The outfit was quite conservative compared to Nicole's rather eclectic ensemble.

Simon's celebrations were a tad early - he actually turns 57 on Friday.

He was spotted looked ultra casual in jeans and a blue jumper teamed with black shoes but looked in good spirits as he arrived at the restaurant with Lauren.

The couple share a two-year-old son Eric.

Other celebrity guests included Amanda Holden who arrived dressed in a strapless black midi-dress teamed with strappy silver sandals. 

The Britain's Got Talent star arrived clutching a large silver grey bag, perhaps containing a gift for her TV colleague. 

X Factor Louis Walsh was also on hand to help Simon celebrate, while on-screen hypnotist Paul McKenna was spotted arriving smartly dressed in a suit.

Simon is well known for his star-studded birthday bashes - his 50th birthday bparty was an over-the-top affair which saw a fleet of limousines ferry an array of A-list stars to the mansion venue for a cocktail reception. 

Meanwhile, it's emerged that Simon will serve as a judge on America's Got Talent through to 2019.

U.S. network NBC announced on Tuesday that Simon has signed on to be part of the talent show's judging panel for three more seasons.

Simon, who created America's Got Talent, was a judge on the hit summertime series for the first time this year.

When America's Got Talent returns to U.S. screens next year, he'll be joined by returning judges Mel B, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel, with Nick Cannon again hosting.

Simon has also acted as a judge on the UK version Britain's Got Talent.
