While on her way to the morning radio show The Breakfast Club, Lena Dunham, 30, posted a photo of herself making a kissing face in a car on Instagram. The early-morning selfie put on spotlight on her bright red pout.

She captioned the snap, 'Headed to @breakfastclubam to talk to @cthagod so I guess what I'm saying is never give up on your dreams, kids.'

Her 2.8 million Instagram followers went crazy for the photo, which quickly racked up more than 12,000 likes. The bold lip color had a lot to do with it, garnering comments like this one from user orphee_ritchie: 'Great red!! Any dream seams possible with this color! [lip print emoji] @lenadunham'.

Swatch it! The Lenny Letter co-founder has showcased bold lip colors before, including these from MDMflow

Despite pleas from her followers, Lena didn't reveal the exact lip color she was wearing.

The Girls' star and Lenny Letter founder is not, however, a stranger to wearing bold lipstick.

Back in April she made headlines when she ordered every single shade of Florence Adepoju's MDMflow colors and swatched them on her lips, writing, 'the deep blue (Mas Marina) has me hooked on a feeling'.

Looking further into Lena's lipstick past, last November she Instagrammed a throwback photo of herself from 2009 wearing a very similar, if not identical, lip color to the red she wore today. In the caption, she ID'd the color as Nars Red Lizard, which she claimed to still have.

Lena actually addressed her brows again in this morning's post. One commenter asked her for tips about looking so bright-eyed and bushy-tailed early in the morning.

The star responded with, 'green tea and Glossier boy brow eyebrow gel!'
