The house, a Georgian manor known as Atalanta, occupies a 289-acre property in the Hudson Valley near Red Hook, New York.
It was built in 1851 for Franklin Hughes Delano (Franklin Delano Roosevelt's great-uncle) and his wife, Laura Astor Delano, who received the land as a wedding gift.
Two more wings were added in the late 19th century to the 16,000-square-foot house. The estate now has seven bedrooms, a Greek temple-inspired pool house and a tennis court.
