Angelina Jolie found herself on her own after she filed for divorce from partner of 12 years Brad Pitt on September 19.

But the 41-year-old Oscar winner has had help from her brother James Haven, 43.

And in the new issue of UsWeekly it has been revealed the former actor, who famously kissed Jolie on the lips at the Oscars in 2000, now has 'an active daily role' looking after the six kids Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, and Zahara,11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Vivienne and Knox, eight.

'He took a more active daily role in June,' said a source. 'The kids all call him Uncle James.'

A People source has said in the past: 'James is her rock. She trusts him.'

Like Angelina, his parents are Jon Voight and the late Marcheline Bertrand.

Haven is a USC School of Cinema-Television graduate and has worked in films since 1998.

He had minor roles in several films starring Jolie, like Gia (1998), Hell's Kitchen (1998) and Original Sin (2001). He also appeared in Monster's Ball (2001) and a 2004 episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

In 2009 he became a born again Christian and In 2011, he served as executive producer to the short comedy film That's Our Mary, which follows two actresses awaiting the final casting decision for the role of the Virgin Mary at a faith–based film studio.

UsWeekly also claimed Brad has no problem with James helping with the kids.

'Brad thinks highly of James. He has always been incredible to the kids and is welcome in his home.'

Brad's home is in Hollywood Hills while Angelina has reportedly moved the children to Denise Richards' old home in Hidden Hills.

The six bedroom, eight bathroom mansion was on the market for $6.9 million when Angelina asked to rent it, it has been alleged.

There is a swimming pool and a large backyard.

James is most likely staying in the house that is in a gated community. Kris Jenner lives up the street, Kim Kardashian is rebuilding her home nearby, and Kylie Jenner owns three mansions in the area.

In July, OK! magazine claimed he'd stepped up to fill Pitt's shoes as a father figure because the Hollywood actor was working so hard and was away from home much of the time.

In fact, Haven was spending so much time with his nieces and nephews, the publication reported the youngest of them - Knox and Vivienne - had started calling him 'daddy'.

'Brad’s absolutely working his butt off right now and the kids rarely see him, a source told OKMagazine.com. 'He leaves for the set before they wake and comes home after they’ve gone to bed.'

RadarOnline revealed Tuesday that the actress had also allegedly fired the family's nanny several months ago for what she regarded as 'flirting' with her husband.

Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt on Monday for 'the health of her family', two years after they wed at their French estate Chateau Miraval.

The actress filed papers citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split and asked for physical custody of the couple's three biological children as well as their three adopted children.

A source close to the couple said that the Maleficent star was upset over the way Pitt was parenting their brood and 'fed up' with his use of weed and alcohol, as well as anger issues.
