Kelly Clarkson might be a big star but when it comes to attitude, it seems her two-year-old daughter River Rose gives her a run for her money.

'She is a diva!' the songstress, 34, told NBC late night host Seth Myers on Tuesday.

'I'm pretty sure it's something to do with genetics,' she added, somewhat sheepishly.

Kelly is busy promoting her new children's book that she wrote for her daughter.

Called River Rose And The Magical Lullaby, it was inspired by stories she wanted to share with her little one about the places they travel to for her career.

'I wrote these cute little stories because I'm a dork mom,' she said, 'and I had these cute little pictures.'

'Anyway, my husband and my nanny were like, 'you should make them into books'.'

She can relate: As for where she might get her diva attitude from, the American Idol alum admitted that it was probably 'something to do with genetics'

The Piece By Piece performer signed a multiple book deal with HarperCollins and the her first was officially published Tuesday.

Kelly explained she wrote a lullaby that she sings to River Rose before she wrote the book, but now that she's two, the tot has her own way of letting her mom know when she's tired of hearing it.

The American Idol alum said that when her daughter has had enough of her singing to her at bedtime, she puts a hand out and presses it against her mom's face and says: 'Bye!'

Kelly is doing a round of TV interviews and appearances to promote the children's book, and has been wowing her fans with her new slimmed down figure following the birth of her second child, son Remington, in April.

Slimmer figure: Kelly, who gave birth to her second child five months ago, has been showing off her post-baby body in a series of black dresses with statement collars

Sticking to slimming black, she's rocked a number of different dresses int he past two days, each with a collar that draws the eye.

She's paired the outfits with black tights and pumps.

Leaving her honey locks in waves around her pretty face, she's glowed with radiant health.

During a chat with Ellen DeGeneres on the comedienne's daytime show on Tuesday, Kelly, who is married to Brandon Blackstock, said she doesn't have any plans to add to her family.

'We have four because I married into two - we have a 15, nine, two and five month old,' she explained.

'I already have days where I like, cry, so we don't need any more kids,' she said, laughing.
