However, Sonia wasn't fully ready to open her heart back up to Nick, who cruelly said he wasn't attracted to her — even though they have had sex multiple times.

Sonia, who is no longer wearing her wedding ring, accepted his apology on last week's episode, but she still wanted to see him put in some effort before she moved back in with him.

'I'm a social worker and feeding the homeless is something I really love to do,' she told the cameras. 'If we are going to make this work, he needs to see what's important to me.'

The newlyweds appeared to be enjoying each other's company while preparing the sandwiches as Nick revealed that PB&J was his to to late night snack in college.

Sonia explained that in addition to making the sandwiches, she likes to write positive messages on the paper begs, which seemed to impress her husband.

While driving to the area that Sonia likes to deliver the meals, Nick admitted that he doesn't understand why she was hesitant to stay at their home.

'I don't think I have to be in the house for there to be effort on your part,' Sonia said pointing out that he was the one who hurt her.

'It's like I am fighting with what my gut says to do and what my hopeless romantic part of me says,' she explained to the cameras.

Nick was clearly blown away by his wife's passion for helping those in need and the amount of effort he put into the outing didn't go unnoticed by Sonia.

At the end of the day, Nick realized that Sonia has all the qualities he is looking for in a wife and vows to get her to move back in.

Later in the episode, the two threw a Cinco de Mayo party at their marital home, but they made sure to update their friends on the status of their marriage ahead of time.

During the gathering, Nick's friend encouraged him to put in the same effort to getting Sonia to move back as he does when he is working on his six-pack abs.

After everyone left, the couple both agreed that it was a fun night, and for a brief moment Sonia even held Nick's hand.

'I miss my wife,' Nick told the cameras. 'She is very attractive, and whenever she feels willing to move back, then she is welcome back.'

Nick, who clearly wanted Sonia to stay over, pointed out that she had too much to drink that night to drive home.

Sonia agreed with him and said she would stay over to 'hang out' if that was alright with him.

And while Sonia is slowly learning to trust Nick again, the couple only have another week before the social experiment is over.

On next week's episode Dr. Pepper Schwartz, one of the show's relationship experts, insists that it is time for Sonia to move home and work on her marriage.

Meanwhile, Derek Schwartz, 35, saw his wife Heather Seidel, 32, for the first time since she asked him for a divorce.

The flight attendant admitted to the camera that she might have made a 'mistake getting divorced to soon — even though they are still technically married.

Both Derek and Heather spoke with expert Rachel DeAlto individually before their meeting, and she immediately noticed that Derek was still wearing his wedding ring.

When they were brought in together, Derek smiled when he said hello to Heather, and thanks to some clever editing, it looked like his soon-to-be ex-wife was considering calling off the divorce.

However, when Rachel asked they when they would like to file, Heather said she would like to get it done as soon as possible.

And while they will no longer be married to each other, they both agreed that they are open to marriage in the future.

On next week's episode, the two are seen moving on with their lives. Derek appears to on a date, while one of Heather's friends tells her that she has a tendency to come off as stuck up.

As for Tom Wilson, 28, and Lillian Vilchez, 24, they remain the only couple without any major marital issues.

The two celebrated their one-month anniversary on last night's episode, however, Tom was somewhat irritated that his wife was late for their dinner.

He played with his phone and looked at the menu until Lillian waltzed in and gave him a sweet kiss on the lips.

Despite his initial annoyance, Tom was genuinely happy to see his wife, and he was blown away that she even brought him a gift.

Tom was stunned when he opened a drawing, which actually a sketch of a still from one of his surfing videos.

'I know I was upset earlier, but it was amazing that she went to the lengths that she did,' he told the cameras.

Tom admitted to Lillian that he felt like a 'jerk' because he didn't get her anything, but she insisted that she wasn't expecting a present.

The previously agreed to rewrite their vows and exchange them during dinner, however, Lillian confessed that she didn't have the time.

Tom was so moved by her honesty, that he said her owning up to it meant more than the vows.

However, it became clear later in the episode that he was a bit fed up with her prioritizing work over him.

Tom's irritation with his wife started when they decide to run errands together because he clearly expected to chat with Lillian while driving her to her real estate showings for work.

'We want to get a lot of stuff done, and I thought let's just run around together and get everything out of the way for the day and spend some time together in each other's company,' he explained.

However, Lillian was working on both her phone and computer, essentially ignoring Tom while he talked about getting blood work done at his doctor's office.

Tom stressed to the cameras that he thinks 'communicating is really important', but it was clear that Lillian wasn't listening to a word he was saying, especially after he casually mentioned the doctor looking at all the 'little wizards' and 'bugs' in his blood stream to see if she was paying attention.

He continued to test her by jokingly talking about the time he spent on a ranch.

'I got to learn about being a gay cowboy. You know what I'm saying?' he asked, and Lillian simply replied: 'No I don't.'

'I appreciate how hard she works, but that to me just shows that she's not listening to me, and it's really frustrating. It's irritating,' he told the cameras of Lillian's response.

Lillian apologizes and admitted she wasn't actually listening to him, but she doesn't stop working. And according to Tom, this is a regular occurrence.

'She's not showing a 100 per cent effort, and I feel like I am putting in 100 per cent and she is putting in 67 per cent,' he told the cameras.

In attempt to show his wife that having a social life is just as important as work, he took her surfing and they later enjoyed a night of bowling with their friends.

However, Tom admitted that he was still concerned that Lillian loves her job more than he loves him.
