Getting the all-clear: Anastacia is back in Strictly rehearsals after ripped mastectomy scars caused her to miss dance off
Anastacia is back in rehearsals for Strictly Come Dancing after doctors gave her the all-clear to continue.
The 48-year-old singer was deemed too unfit to dance against fellow bottom place contestant Melvin Odoom after she ‘ripped’ her mastectomy scars during training last week.
Her injury caused her to became the first contestant in the show's history to pull out of a dance-off.
Ruled out: Anastacia was unable to perform in the Dance-Off in Strictly Come Dancing on Sunday, which meant that the final decision of who was going home was based on public vote
According to The Mirror, the singer was told her injury was not permanent after undergoing a day of tests on Tuesday.
A spokesman told the newspaper: 'She is doing this to raise money for breast cancer, so unless a doctor tells her she can’t carry on, quitting would never be an option. Anastacia and Brendan are now in rehearsal.'
To stay safe in future shows, Anastacia's dance partner Brendan Cole has been told to carefully choreograph future routines like the Viennese waltz this weekend.
The newspaper reports Anastacia visited a specialist clinic who gave her 'appropriate medication'.

Injured: The blonde aggravated an existing ailment in training during the week and had to perform an updated version of her routine on Saturday night
The spokesman added: 'Brendan was with her for their appointments and they have been filmed for this weekend's episode. The specialist will be monitoring her condition regularly and she will revisit them on Monday.'
Melvin Odoom was sent home when the competition was forced to go to the public vote, since it was 'too risky' for Anastacia and partner Brendan to perform again.
Anastacia said: 'I danced on Saturday even though the doctor had advised me to rest after I ripped the scar tissue around where I had my double mastectomy.
'After that I was unable to dance again and I was devastated that I couldn't take part in the Dance Off.

'I am so very sad to see Melvin and Janette go, they are the most the most wonderful pair and I will miss Melvin's unique spirit and beautiful smile.'
The American singer, who has twice overcome breast cancer, was in the bottom two but medics warned her she should not dance again.
Her injury meant the BBC had to resort to using the public vote alone, and the 48-year-old was saved by receiving more votes than Odoom and professional dancer Janette Manrara.
Anastacia has spoken openly about her ‘radical’ double mastectomy surgery in 2013 and the extensive reconstruction work since, and that she wanted to take part in the show to learn how to use her body again.

However, she warned before the competition began that her operations might affect her ability to do the most energetic moves, as her arm movement has been restricted.
She said: ‘My operation was kind of a radical one. I had to take my muscles from my back and put them on my front. So my arm movement is very interesting, shall I say.’
She is thought to have suffered the damage to her scars while rehearsing the salsa with her partner Brendan Cole at Elstree Studios on Friday.
Before her dance on Saturday, presenter Tess Daley explained to viewers: ‘Unfortunately due to Anastacia suffering an injury in rehearsals they have had to re-choreograph their salsa today.’

However, Craig Revel Horwood did not shy away from his typically harsh criticism, as he described Anastacia’s moves as ‘clunky’ and ‘haphazard’.
Cole stepped in to halt the feedback, saying: ‘We had a great couple of lifts in there and because of the injuries [pointing to chest area], we decided this morning to change the choreography.’
As had been expected, the dance ‘aggravated’ Anastacia’s injuries and when it was revealed that she was due to dance again to avoid elimination, medics intervened to stop her.
A spokesman for the show said: ‘There was no Dance Off tonight due to a confirmed injury. As per the Strictly Come Dancing rules if the Dance Off cannot go ahead then the result reverts to the viewer vote.’
Come to an end: Melvin said he was 'very sad' to be heading home after just two weeks of performing
Movie theme: the duo will be performing in movie week this weekend
Melvin was sent home by the British public with the lowest votes after his Tango to M People's Movin' On Up failed to impress the judges, and earned him a measly score of 22.
Melvin is best known for his role on the Kiss FM breakfast radio show but he also presented The Xtra Factor alongside Rochelle Humes in 2015.
After the show, he said of his competitor: 'It was unexpected but I care about the people before everything else.
'I love Anastacia I think she's a great woman, she's a great role model and her health comes first before everything else. As much as this is a great show and competition, her health comes first; it's the way it is.'
Next week, the stars will perform in the first of the popular themed weeks, which will be Movie Week.
The lucky few: Daisy Lowe and Will Young were just some of the stars breathing a sigh of relief this week as the first results came in
