Former Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes' financial troubles continue to worsen as she was hit with a second tax lien in four months - this time for nearly $100,000.

Leakes, whose real name is Linnethia Monique Leakes, was hit with a state tax lien from the Georgia Department of Revenue for $95,232.92 on September 22 over unpaid taxes from 2014.

In July, the federal government also hit the 48-year-old reality star with a tax lien, threatening to seize her assets if she didn’t pay $824,366.01 in back federal taxes from the same year.

The state tax lien that was filed in September shows that Leakes originally owed $58,458, but it has grown with interest ($9,715.71), penalties ($15,317.61), collection fees ($11,691.60) and other costs.

If she does not pay her debt soon, the Department of Revenue will begin the process of seizing her assets and property.

The federal and state liens still remain active, meaning she has yet to pay off her debt.

In 2014, Leakes appeared on the 18th season of Dancing with the Stars - where she placed seventh.

That same year, she announced the launch of The NeNe Leakes Collection on the Home Shopping Network and in made her Broadway debut in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella.

Last year, Leakes dropped $2million on a brand new six-bedroom, six-bathroom, 9,511square-foot home in Deluth, Georgia.

The home is in a gated community that features a country club, golf course and several other amenities.

Leakes made headlines earlier this year when it was reported that she would not be appearing on the upcoming ninth season of Real Housewives of Atlanta.

She was an original cast member on the reality show and starred on it for seven seasons.

The former star of the show was featured as a ‘friend’ of the housewives last season, but reportedly did not reach a deal with the network or producers to come back for season nine.

In June, Leakes made headlines when she admitted to getting another nose job.

She insisted that it was 'a real medical reason why I had to get it done again,' explaining that she had 'cartilage growing in my nose' that meant 'the tip of my nose was touching my lip when I smile’.

But she admitted that this time she had a full rhinoplasty, saying that she 'only had my nostrils taken in on the side the very first time’.

Leakes is married to Gregg Leakes, 61, who she first married in 1997. After divorcing in 2011, they rekindled their relationship and wed again in 2013. 

Despite cheating rumors surfacing over the years, it appears that the couple is still together.

It is unknown what Gregg Leakes does for his profession, but it has previously been reported that he was a real estate investor and consultant.
