Rosie O'Donnell has published a poem on her official website shedding fresh light on her encounter with longtime foe Donald Trump's daughter Ivanka.
The pair came face to face on Wednesday at the New York City restaurant Nobu Fifty Seven.
In her poem, titled '8 million to one', she said she was 'stunned' by a woman in the restaurant's looks, telling a friend that she was 'the most beautiful woman' she had ever seen. She says she didn't realize at first that it was Ivanka Trump.
O'Donnell reveals in the poem that it was her first outing since the September 26 presidential debate because she has been suffering from depression, which 'clings' to her and causes her to stay in bed for days at a time.

'It's hard to walk/to shower/to try/to care,' she writes.
O'Donnell was with a female friend called Dana, she disclosed.
In the poem she tells how she was at the restaurant - which she does not name - when she sees a couple and exclaimed over the woman's beauty.
She admires their togetherness, saying 'they were definitely a THEY'.
When her friend reveals to her that the couple is in fact Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner, O'Donnell writes that she was shocked, and suddenly wanted to leave.
But before leaving, she stopped by the couple's table to greet them, and related in the poem that Ivanka was 'absurdly kind' and Jared had a 'calming charm', while her own voice was 'shaky' and 'quiet'.
'She smiled genuinely/he husband was warm and gracious,' she wrote.
She told the couple of her children, 'some truths about myself/my pain and shame'.
Following the four-minute encounter, O'Donnell and her friend left the restaurant for a waiting car.
She finished the poem on a reflective note, recalling a book she once wrote about bashert, a Yiddish word meaning destiny and often referring to a person finding their soulmate.
She said that the phrase 'comforted' her on dark days.

The encounter between O'Donnell and Ivanka happened on Wednesday evening at New York's Nobu Fifty Seven
Prior to writing her poem, O'Donnell expressed thanks to Ivanka on Twitter.
'Ivanka Trump in a city of 8 million - we meet face 2 face - i thank u 4 listening - mother 2 mother - on this new years week - my best 2 u,' O'Donnell tweeted on Wednesday, referencing the Jewish holiday.
The comedian's feud with The Donald got new life when Trump brought it up during the first presidential debate.
'This is a man who has called women pigs, slobs and dogs,' Trump's rival, Hillary Clinton charged, late in the first debate. Clinton brought up Trump's nicknames for former Miss Universe Alicia Machado – 'Miss Piggy' and 'Miss Housekeeping' – quickly turning the ex-beauty queen into a household name.

Trump's retort began with O'Donnell, noting how she's somebody who's said 'very vicious things to me.'
'I said very tough things to her,' Trump continued. 'I think everybody would agree that she deserves it and nobody feels sorry for her.'
Trump and O'Donnell's falling out happened after she criticized him when she was a co-host of 'The View' in 2006 for not firing a Miss USA accused drinking, drugs and sexual misdeeds
The comedian called Trump a 'snake oil salesman' and noted how he left his first wife, Ivana Trump, for Marla Maples.
'[He] had kids both times,' O'Donnell said. 'But he's the moral compass for 20-year-olds in America,' she continued.
'Donald, sit and spin, my friend,' she added.
Trump went off when he heard about O'Donnell's remarks.
'Rosie will rue the words she said … I'll most likely sue her for making those false statements — and it'll be fun. Rosie's a loser. A real loser. I look forward to taking lots of money from my nice fat little Rosie,' Trump said.
Wednesday, before her meet-up with Ivanka Trump, O'Donnell contended on Twitter that she was still right.
'I spoke 2006 - facts that were true then - now - always HE IS A BAD CON MAN this is not news to anyone awake,' O'Donnell wrote.
