In Sarah Jessica Parker's new HBO show, Divorce, she plays the part of Frances who is in a troubled and failing marriage. 

But the 51-year-old actress, who's been married to Matthew Broderick for nearly 20 years, told reporters at the New York City premiere on Tuesday that her on-screen persona is 'separate' and doesn't 'relate' to her marriage in real life. 

The next day the beauty showed off her cleavage in a pretty pink dress as she stopped by the AOL series.

The number was beautifully boho with a pattern on the front, on the waistline, hem and sleeves.

Turquoise peep toe heels added even more dazzle.

'What I do on screen doesn’t cross the placenta, do you know what I mean?' said Parker.

'I play all sorts of parts that I suppose one would wonder — but that’s my job, that’s what’s interesting to me.

'You know, any job is very separate for me — it always has been.' She continued, 'I love being consumed by a part that I’m playing.' 

But she added, 'I don’t relate to it. It feels so specific.'

Divorce follows the unraveling of a 17-year marriage between Frances (Parker), and Robert, played by Thomas Haden Church.

Within the first 12 minutes of the pilot, Frances tells her stunned husband: 'I want to save my life while I still care about it. I don’t love you anymore. I want a divorce.'

At the premiere Parker's longtime spouse was close by her side as they posed together on the blue carpet. 

Broderick, 54, also talked about his wife's new show telling People magazine, 'It does expose some of the uglier sides of marriage.'

'But it’s also humor — it’s funny,' the Ferris Bueller's Day Off star added.

Sarah Jessica Parker looked radiant alongside her husband Matthew Broderick for the premier of her new show Divorce in New York City.

Sarah is one busy mom and actress! She now is also a shoe designer with her new range being released to much fanfare (Carrie Bradshaw would approve!).

And perhaps that's one part of the show that could be comparable to Broderick's marriage to Parker.

Parker and Broderick, who will celebrate two decades of marriage next May, have three children: a son James, 13, and twin daughters Loretta and Tabitha, 7.   

On the carpet, the pair looked happy as Parker placed her hand protectively on Broderick's rib cage while he returned the gesture holding her tightly around her tiny waistline.  

The Sex And The City star gushed that her husband is 'fantastic for so many reasons.' 

But the notoriously private actress said, 'I can’t pretend to put together an anecdotal laundry list.' 

Adding, 'I don’t usually talk about it, so it’s nice and a mystery!'

Divorce debuts on HBO on Sunday, October 9.
