Not really a stretch! Mariah Carey stuns in series of sexy outfits as she takes on diva role on Fox's Empire

Pop diva Mariah Carey played a fictional singing superstar in a series of sexy outfits on Wednesday's episode of Empire.

The 46-year-old singer showed off her famed curves as she played fictional singer Kitty who was brought in to help Jamal Lyon get over his performance anxiety after being shot.

Mariah first appeared in the episode in a tight gown that revealed her ample cleavage as she tottered down from a stage where she was rehearsing.

Kitty revealed that she wanted to record the duet with Jamal, who sadly told her that he was 'not performing' at the moment.

Cookie pulled her son Jamal away from Kitty to persuade him to get back into the game and prevent his father Lucious from releasing his latest album before he was ready.

Lucious agreed to bury the album if his son did the duet with Kitty and live stream the session.

When it came to the recording session Mariah's art imitates life character was dressed in a sexy bustier leotard outfit.

Jamal took his painkillers before getting in the studio with Kitty, and things did not start smoothly as he struggled with his lines.

Lucious asked him if he wanted to reschedule but Kitty encouraged him to work through it.

'Personally I think we are good,' she told him as the family predicted a 'flame out.'

Jamal kept pounding the pain killers as Kitty encouraged her duet partner and they eventually got the track done.

'That boy is as high as a kite but damn he sounds good,' said Lucious approvingly.

'You all are some bad people up in there,' he added as Jamal and Kitty hugged in celebration.

When his lawyer suggested cutting a deal Andre refused and Lucious forced him and his brothers to take a tour through rough neighborhoods to show them they had become 'soft.'

'Self-preservation is the first rule of nature, it is kill or be killed in these streets,' said Lucious as he took his three sons to task for their 'weakness.'

'You all don't know you are black. When you step out of this high wall of privilege I but around you your name might as well be Trayvon or Philando or Freddie,' he said in reference to high-profile deaths of black men.

'The fault lies on me, I didn't prepare you and that is something you have to live with but you better get woke and quick as you are one moment away from being a hashtag and I don't care how many white wives and lawyers you get.'

Andre exploded with rage as he told his father he would rather 'end up in jail or be dead' than to be like him.

Jamal and Andre then jumped out of the van and walked home while Hakeem headed back to the studio to finish his diss track.

Lucious was then forced to pull out his gun as he found wife Anika in a compromising position with a delivery guy at their mansion.

'I only wanted to remind you that when you push me, I push back harder,' said Anika, who earlier found Lucious in his own compromising position with an assistant.

Lucious warned his wife that her 'dead body' would have to be carried out of their mansion if his mother got her way.

'The world has enough rappers we don't need another one - yet,' she told him as she ripped up his contract.

The act went across well with Angelo, who tried unsuccessfully to kiss her and jokingly told her he would get one 'next time.'

Jamal was angry when Lucious released the Black Album against his wishes.

The release left Lucious and Cookie at loggerheads with the mogul telling his ex-wife he was taking control of the label's music once again.

She told him that trying to force her out would mean 'war' and she was ready 'to play.'
