Padma Lakshmi was looking pretty spicy too on Wednesday as she hit up Extra in New York City to talk about her latest tome The Encyclopedia of Spices and Herbs: An Essential Guide to the Flavors of the World.

The 46-year-old showcased her slender figure in a loosely fitting pale cream dress with a tailored jacket patterned with exotic embroidered ostriches.

'I spent my life traveling all over the world. I'm from India but I grew up in America,' Padma added. 'I was always interested in spices.'
