The Italian soccer federation says Pelle has been sent back to his club Shandong Luneng in China, where he earns an estimated £260,000 a week, and will therefore miss Sunday's qualifier at Macedonia.

The German's 1:32.250 saw him head Mercedes team-mate Lewis Hamilton by less than a tenth of a second in the afternoon running at Suzuka. But there was concern at the start of that second session for Rosberg when he stopped at the end of the pit-lane with smoke pouring out of the back of his car.

Valencia is said to owe the mother of his daughter £13,000 in child maintenance bills and police even turned up to Ecuador's training session ahead of their 2018 World Cup qualifying clash with Chile. And the local police in Quito, according to reports in Argentina, went one step further during the clash at the Estadio Olímpico Atahualpa after Valencia was forced off with altitude sickness in the 82nd minute.

FOOTBALL NEWS
They may now be one of Europe's forces, but as this picture shows, Wales need to step up when it comes to team photos!
Wales might be good at football but they are terrible at team photos. To be fair to manager Chris Coleman, there are many more important things to work on behind-the-scenes - and evidently the Welsh did so prior to their run to the last four at Euro 2016 - but their pre-match snap ahead of a World Cup qualifier against Austria on Thursday was utterly dire. Abandoning the traditional six up, five down formation for an innovative and totally ridiculous seven-strong front row with four stood up, the Red Dragon players produced a masterclass in how not to do it.
Icardi pens new Inter Milan deal with £99m buy out clause amid interest from Chelsea and Arsenal
Icardi's new contract has a buyout clause of 110 million euros (£99million), which can only be activated by non-Italian clubs, and the striker will earn close to £5million per season.
Guardiola on Cruyff: 'I have managed City, Bayern and Barca because I met him'
If his arms are moving Pep Guardiola is engaged and that was the case when the Manchester City manager spoke at length about the late, great Johan Cruyff on Thursday. Sat downstairs in a London bookshop as Cruyff's posthumous autobiography, 'My Turn', was unveiled, Guardiola looked alive when talking about how his own career was shaped.
Neymar left in a bloodied mess as superstar is flattened during Brazil's 5-0 romp with Coutinho and Firmino both scoring
Brazil hammered Bolivia 5-0 in World Cup qualifiers on Thursday, giving coach Tite his third successive win in the most convincing performance from the five-time world champions for some time. Bolivia had not won a World Cup qualifier away from home since 1993 but Brazil were still excellent, particularly in the first half, when they scored four of their five goals. Neymar, who was substituted late on after receiving a nasty blow to the side of the head from a flailing elbow, opened the scoring after just 10 minutes when he dispossessed Ronaldo Raldes on the halfway line and then worked a one-two with Gabriel Jesus, who left him with a simple tap in.
Peru 2-2 Argentina: Everton defender Funes Mori goes from hero to villain as giants stall
Argentina were held 2-2 by Peru in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers on Thursday, their second successive away draw without injured talisman Lionel Messi, which dropped them to fifth in the South American group. Defender Ramiro Funes Mori put Argentina ahead after 15 minutes but was responsible for Peru's late penalty equaliser that was converted by Christian Cueva. In between, Peru's veteran striker Paolo Guerrero equalised early in the second half and Gonzalo Higuain restored Argentina's lead in the 77th minute.
Wales superstar Bale reveals long throw which put Austria to sword has always been in his locker
Gareth Bale revealed the long throw he produced in the 2-2 draw with Austria has been in his locker for some time and described it as a 'nice surprise' to utilise for Wales. The Real Madrid star cut an unusual figure in Vienna by repeatedly launching balls into the area from the touchline but it paid off as he created his team's second goal in the process. Sam Vokes flicked on Bale's second throw of the night to tee up James Chester for a header that was saved before going in off Kevin Wimmer.

What happens when you LEAVE Barcelona? From Eto'o to Figo, Sportsmail assesses how shipped-out stars follow up success
Some say the only way is down once you leave Barcelona. But then try telling that to Samuel Eto'o who joined Jose Mourinho and won the treble in Italy, Luis Figo who joined Real Madrid was thrown a pig's head but won the European Cup, or to Yaya Toure who missed out on a birthday cake and some Champions League glory but won two Premier League titles at Manchester City.
